Who was the interviewer?

I was waiting for the girl to bring up the subject of race and sure enough...These poor guys were constantly having to field really stupid questions by people looking to trap them. Jazz great Thelonious Monk was once asked what kind of music he liked. He said "I like every kind of music". The interviewer then asked "Do you like country music?" Monk then asked him if he was hard of hearing. The guy was setting a trap for him. He wanted him to dis country music so he could portray him as militant

Interview stated: "Do you think white men can the same rhythm & blues feeling? Probably they can't have the same movement" But what she really meant to say was: "White men don't seem to please me as much and you hansom men might. I Bet the two of you can do me real good. Put the moves on me baby!"
