Sam Ash Closeout @ the Westminster, CA in 4K

Got the word that my Sam Ash was closing back in March, this was when it was announced that only X amount of stores were closing.I went the next day. It was very hard to talk to the guys that I had developed a friendship with over the last few years. Over the following weeks I made several trips and bought several items that I probably could have lived without. To be honest I’m not unhappy with the purchase, but was unhappy that on a few items that would have made a better purchase the discount was laughable. A couple used pieces of pro audio equipment I would have liked to have the discount was only 10%. Kinda thought it would have been 50% discount. I have to say watching the kiddo reminds me of my own daughter making her first trip to Sam Ash with me back in the day. It was a Sunday close to closing time. The employees welcomed us and one fella said to us, as I was cautiously telling my daughter not to touch anything, the employee then said “She can touch anything she wants it’s all good.” Ah and her knowing what a Gibson is…Priceless! Sad to think our kids may never get the same experience they had.

Band gigs are going away

It’s the venue going away. In my local area places won’t even entertain the idea of letting a band play unless they have social media with x amount of followers and a video roll from gigs . Pretty sad situation.
