Five stars all the way for this guy; pretty much evrything i've heard from him is top of the range; and given the hand he's been dealt, he's even more amazing!

I heard Sam Baker's interview on 'Fresh Air' and knew I had to hear more. What great music, speaks to the soul. Looking forward to listening to everything Sam has out there.

He was in Kansas City this weekend. A friend of mine brought him back again to this great 100plus year old venue. He was amazing. He's right; he's not a great singer or a great player. He's just great. This clip catches a glimpse of his amazing sense of humor about himself and life. His conversation between songs is as enjoyable as his music. Somehow he seems to have found himself through his suffering. Find his explanation on the song Broken Fingers, the one where he explains the song.

just heard of this guy -- he's profound. Heard a song on the radio called Tattooed Woman, and I googled this guy the second I got home.

Just learned of Sam's music last week - and specifically this song - via Karen Miller's podcast The Miller Tells Her Tale. And then researched a bit about Sam Baker & his story. Wow. Thanks Fog for this incredible version.

Has the feel of a Guy Clark song. Well done Mr. Baker!

Some of the best opening banter I've ever heard. Hope we get some of this at www.LancasterRootsAndBlues.com in February 2016. I really dig these lyrics. Man, what a beautiful, genuine personality.

Obvs never met Dr Martin from Bassano AB, went on to be the dean of Harvard med school for a solid decade. As a long haired country boy with a med garden surpassed by few, bless his buttons on that shirt. Heheh. Be good to yourself.
