You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Sam was a multimilliionaire after one year of trading on his own, before FTX. Then it took him 2 more years to build a $30+ billion dollar company. He bet $500m on Anthropic which turned into billions, covering any losses he might have had. And it pays back all customers and creditors. Ooops, you were wrong and I was right.@@druntopronto7598

And they bought into the prosecutions narrative... probably because the defense sucked. But also because they weren't allowed to mention that everyone is being paid back, or that Sam spent 5 times more in charity donations than he spent on personal interests, couldn't talk about the relationship with caroline, couldn't talk about how easily Sam made money legitimately prior to FTX or how little he spent on himself, couldn't talk about political donations, couldn't talk about his aspergers/autism , couldn't talk about compilcated financial things, couldn't talk about the data leak or that Coindesk causes the bankruptcy..... there's a lot more. All pushed for by the prosecution with the judge agreeing. And he had to carefully answer the prosecutions questions who wanted him to step on any of those land mines, or suck him into their frame with one word answers.

What a joke. While he was declaring his philanthropic goals in effective altruism, he was probably also busy using FTX user deposits to gamble in crypto, to purchase naming rights of FTX Arena and to spend lavishly in marketing and sponsorship deals. He failed his most basic fiduciary duty to protect user funds. Yet, he wants to be the savior and the effectively altruistic billionaire. He knew he was misusing user deposits. Yet, he went to DC to help write crypto regulations??!! How could someone do this in real life? It’s beyond disgusting.

Anyone know if all this never happens if Bitcoin goes to $100k?? To me, it was Caroline Ellison who was trying to trade bitcoin with no stop loss, and engaged in risky behavior while expecting Bitcoin to continue to rise. I'll bet she just continued buying as Bitcoin crashed... she probably is who matched up with all the "rug pullers" that were selling, and made them rich.
