He presented no evidence to support that, is what it sounds like, so the Judge did not allow it to be presented to the jury. It may have caused doubt, but it was not supported by evidence.

Gone. The 9 billion that were stolen from costumers were funeled to Alameda to keep them a float. Issue is that Alameda sucked at trading, and they lost all that money. Best they can do is to seize Bankman-Fried's assets to try to at least be able to give some money back to those former customers.

Most of the value, was LOST, thru incompetence by Caroline or theft. But there was also some "theft", I would not call it embezzling, since they sold assets to spend. But disturbing enough, FTX generated a billion a year, thru fees, but they are missing 9 billion. SBF, and his father seemed to think they could just declare bankruptcy, and walk away, without ever being called to explain where it went. Also, because it's crypto, there is a matter of how some customers were able to claw back their own funds, like they still had their tokens, when assets were frozen, FTX is asking people to return those funds, they were able to spend after the freeze. But, if the funds were not cleared, then I'm not sure they can be included in the total. Also the thefts increased, not decreased, after the bankrupcy.
