a strong run from Fuifui and a determined tackle from Sam. Both deserve a nod for their commitment to that play.

Sam Burgess and Fui Fui Moi Moi have the sort of the same tactics like 1. they both run hard and bump people off 2. they do big hits on good rugby league players 3. they have a big heart and is not scared of anything 4. they both train hard and put a lot of effort in rugby 5. they also play like a team player I reckon this is what NRL coaches are looking for so any young rugby league players out their keep this in your head :)

@terrortorn i agree with @1000birdjutsu the work in RL is 'catch, run, hit, tackle', i dont doubt for a second the physical aspect and athleticism required but, they dont have to do that along with scrums, rucks, mauls and lineouts. yes the hits in RL might be bigger and more explosive but its all they have to do.

That`s a pretty interesting video, because it shows how the forearm slam or whatever you want to call it has become a big thing now in league. I don`t remember seeing it much in the 90s but correct me if I`m wrong. I personally like the full shoulder into the opponents` ribs tackles like Dean Lance or David Gillespie were very capable of but this is relatively new, Sonny Bill being the poster boy.

What a classic shot by Burgess!! I'm a Parra supporter and a fan of FuiFui. Can't say I've seen him ironed out like that too often lately, such a devastating ball runner. Sam had perfect timing on the contact here and plenty of time to line him up. Fui made himself an easy target here, shoulder charges are very hit and miss, the latter especially if the attacking player doesn't run so straight - I think Fui's footwork is much better now as a result. :-)

@MarkTatton Look, I'm a New Zealander, the All Blacks have only just in the last tri-nations started to look good, bringing back their expansive attack from inside their own half. Rugby league is all about running at the defense, long range tries, expansive football - and the fact you only have 5 tackles do to something with it before you lose the ball. Because of the rules in union, players become to complacent. And as for 'more aspects', those aspects just waste time and leave viewers confused
@yuena415 жыл бұрын
thats because fuifui was trying to step left and right which loss his momentum in the run, if he ran full straight in one line that would have been something

Moi Moi got nailed as he pratted about stepping sidewards thus losing a lot of his forward momentum, at point of contact he is fairly upright and slightly off balance (his hips are twisted to his torso) which also doesn't help & Big Sam says have a spoonful of that yah big lug. On balance they're probably about the same in terms of been able to dish out big hits but the timing was spot on from Burgess. Not a particularly BIG hit but an effective one at the time.

Give the lad some credit it was perfectly timed, perfectly weighted and fui got owned.
