My brother Andre McIntyre Played trumpet for Sam and Dave in the late 60's, early 70's. He was on Ed Sullivan show when they played Brown Sugar. I was able to watch them perform and was one of the acts that sparked my love for music. I thank them for all the beautiful music.

In my opinion Sam & Dave are probably the greatest professionals ever sang, from sometimes in the late 60s it was written that they couldn't stand the sight of each other but when it's performance time its back to square one, Well done Sam Moore glad to know you are still amongst us.I told a fan of the animosity between both and she didn't believe, she then checked it out, facts.

I don’t think they were ever close friends but this so-called “animosity” seemed one-sided and posthumous. I’ve seen various articles of Sam claiming he didn’t like Dave and didn’t speak to him for something like 12 years but he only revealed his animosity _after_ Dave died. I can’t find any articles of Dave saying he didn’t like or speak to Sam though. 🤷🏾♀️

Wonder why they didn’t have a “Dave” now picture. I’d of paid to see that.
