Because nobody would have gone to see the movie if she was some ugly middle aged lady unless the plot of the movie revolves around her turning pretty, which is a pretty done-to-death premise in cinema. By making her young and attractive, the viewership and target demographic (15-30 year olds) are more likely to buy tickets or merchandise and the movie will have higher profits I know that seems depressing, but it’s true. If you’re ugly nobody cares about you unless you have something else to bring to the table, such as a skillset or a lot of money
