I don't know his first album but I love how his second deals with the underlying issues that affect young men growing up in a working-class environment. Things we were taught to suppress from an early age which then manifest in our adulthood often wreaking our relationships as we come to terms with unconscious toxic masculinity, mental health and an inability to communicate our problems. Truly an album that will live far beyond it's time

Again, another brilliant song and music video. While Spit of You is my favourite single, this also has words that explain a situation I can relate to. I've been in a relationship for over 7 years and it's not always been easy. I've had rows with my partner about how shitty I am and how miserable I feel and the whole speech of "how can you still stay with when I'm like this". I can see the self-destructiveness is embedded in the video and the words of which describe how I have felt about myself many times before. And you feel like you're letting your partner down in the process. It's a horrid feeling, but a very real feeling. Thank you again Sam for writing that into words that describe my feelings perfectly.

I'm a middle aged woman but I don't think that matters because I find Sam's music manages to connect with that bit inside all of us that never ages (the outside ages quicker than the inside ever does) Regardless of who we are, most of us experience the same feelings and self esteem issues and doubts at some point and that's what connects people in Sam's songs. What a talented guy he is and from my region too which makes it even more relatable. 👏

I'm so glad we have the privilege of experiencing his music as and when he releases them. I've been listening to him for some time now and only wish I also had the chance to watch him play live. Can only imagine what a whirlwind of emotions that'll be like.

Even though it hasn't been long, this song reminds me a lot when I played in fifa 22 with rb leipzing or mazatlán fc and sadly that fifa was the last one where liga mx was in fifa

Sam was a slow grower on me. Now im a huge fan. After you reach that you then see what he is. He's an exceptional artist almost all his songs are bangers. If people catch on.....sorry WHEN people catch on to him like I have he will become a superstar. Deservedly so too.
