While NZ looks stunningly beautiful from Sam & Grahams road trip and the extreme sports, food, glorious weather and friendly people are second to none, I have spent 50% of my life in Scotland and 50% in England that makes me rather biased, I’ve always been drawn to the magic of the Scottish Isles and loved everything about the Scottish culture and friendly people, even it’s inclement weather never bothered me…..I have just finished listening to Sam & Grahams Clanlands NZ Audio book it was excellent and entertaining from start to finish, I would highly recommend it, I could listen to them until the cows come home as the saying goes! 😅 🥰🥀🤗

I've been trying to figure out who Graham's accent reminds me of, and I just realized it's Patrick Stewart! But Patrick is from England, isn't he, and Graham is from Scotland? Funny thing is, he doesn't sound Scottish to me at all.

I agree, I think Graham has a typically English Accent, I guess it’s where one is educated that determines that, I don’t really know, being amazing actors Sam & Graham surprised me by easily slipping into many different dialects and characters in their Audio book, after all they spend most of their working lives being someone other than themselves, as you say Cheryl it’s a tricky one to figure out. 🤔

​@@bernicebest Oh! So true! It probably DOES have a lot to do with where one is educated, or even where one spends most of their time. My daughter grew up in California but has lived in North Carolina since she was 17. And she sounds much more like a Southerner now, 20 yrs later! I, on the other hand, have lived all over the states, and at 74, I don't know what I sound like anymore. I'm just grateful I can still remember most of my words, lol! But I also agree they are both wonderful actors, and I look forward to hearing them both again soon, whatever dialect they are speaking!😉🤗

I just hope I can say the same one day, tho' it's probably not likely if I continue to sacrifice my sleep for "just one more" KZbin video!😂😂🥴 You know, I don't know exactly why, but I love almost anything Scottish, lol, especially the accent (my favorite) and of course, the men.😉😂. I know I have some Scottish blood but much more Irish (who I also love). But I even love the haunting sound of bagpipes! Have you seen the series "Shetland"? That's probably my favorite so far, although the departure of Douglas Henshall will be a GREAT loss! (He had a small part in "Outlander" too, btw.) Anyway, it's always a pleasure to communicate with someone "across the pond," lol. Best wishes for a fantastic New Year from North Carolina in the US of A!!🤗

Ive lived in NZ my whole life, i love Rotorua. I live in the North Island but have seen some of the south island and all i can say is NZ is a very beautiful country but our government is not great

The nature & diversity of the landscapes in New Zealand are far more extreme then Scotland, I mean the mountains are much bigger, the rivers are longer, the grasslands are more vaast!! There is just so much more too see 💁‍♀️
