These companies are being run by highly educated woke leftists who see it as their moral duty to use their position to try and socially engineer society with their influence. They are fully confident in their beliefs and that they're the good guys, and even if they get terrible numbers they see it as the morally right thing to continue pressing their messaging hard. If anything the poor numbers just makes them determined to double down because they see themselves as martyrs sent to educate the masses, and they get a justice boner and pat each other on the back.
