Most overpriced sandwiches ever! Their prices are on par with KATZ' S in NYC with at least half the meat.

I didn't want to be the guy to say that... They look delicious but not big enough for my appetite. Our version here would be Little Lucca in South San Francisco. It's still around but not nearly as good. When I was first introduced to L.L. in the late 1980's it was GREAT! Back then it was two houses connected in the back, with the little Nonnas making the sandwiches like the Ford assembly line. One station for bread, two for meats, one for cheese, one for sauces etc. They are the same sizes, but the meats aren't as good, certainly not in La Grassa's league, but they were and are still big enough for two people or three pretty good sized servings. About $20.00 now. Back in the Forty Niner dynasty days I think they were about $11.00 and a must have for game days.
