Well, originally the characters were not even the "Creators' idea. He literally jacked the characters from his older brother. As he was far wittier with humor and more or less did a slight redesign. To now being rather a cultural icon in a cult sense. Really we all know how Max feels about cults that worship him.

Ahh yes, one of my all time favorite franchises! I played this game when I was six years old, though naturally with my dad’s supervision. Also no, give Max the chance in the Telltale game and he will wreak havoc. Especially in Season 3.

Yet the only reason the Rabbit is locked away in a deep government secret weapon testing facility. He was President of the United States. Well, it comes with some immunities and other perks. Also, the government tried.....they are still looking for the team they sent in....

Fourth wall breaking and meta humor. Comic acurate, I asure you. No really, the original first comic had them lampshading the fact they could breath on the moon and the fact they DROVE TO THE MOON. It's one of those series.

This game brings back memories of my first computer I ever owned, which was a Gateway 2000 PC running Windows 95. Also, yes, MS-DOS was a thing up until 2001 with the launch of Windows XP. 19:07 Hoagie's voice actor from Day of the Tentacle.

Could not get around to watching until today and it's been itching at the back of my mind since I saw the upload notification. ...AND IT'S BETTER THAN I THOUGHT. A blind playthrough?! Time for CSI: Sam & Max edition. 2:43 - 3:24 - While I was aware of the games, my main exposure to it was the cartoon. 4:24 - 4:50 - Dun, dun, dun... Another one rides the b- *Kaboom* 6:04 - 6:28 - The cartoon toned down those elements a bit. 7:58 - 8:08 - Haven't read that. 10:58 - 11:09 - Subverted expectations, thankfully. 18:01 - 18:07 - Rasp, get! 19:02 - 19:17 - It's Beavis & Butt-Head meets DJ Boy! 19:36 - 20:38 - I believe it.

Well, little fun fact. The creator of Sam & Max was not the original creator of the characters. His older brother created the characters. Well, he had a better sense of humor and annoyed his older brother so much. He basically stole the duo out of being a bratty brother, lol. And supposedly, there is supposed to be a new Sam & Max game in the works. Though it has been in limbo for a while and no sign of it ever going to get done. Being that game companies now (major labels that own all the licenses) do not like making video games. Yet, more than get into the scam business of NFTs.......yeah...indie devs are generally where it is at now.

fair warning if you go for the Telltale Games Sam and Max stuff, Skunkape Games, who handled the re-release, did edit some of the jokes from their original meaning, I think to be less 'offensive'... which kinda flies in the face of the irreverence of the series. So try to find the original versions, if possible. Also, I have a headcanon for later if you ever get to those games that I think would be funny to share.

@@LordTyph I'd say it depends. Sometimes people do go too far to modernize something, but there's also a point where what was common at one point becomes cruel later on.

@@LordTyph It really, really isn't an issue. 99% of the irreverent humor is intact, the stuff that was modified was because it would no longer be funny for various reasons (including, yes, becoming more sensitive to people's needs and plights) George Carlin, famous offensive comedian, could not stand when other comedians would punch down at vulnerable people, and openly criticized them. Anyways, people are allowed to modify their own work for the new era. Skunkape Games is made up almost entirely of people who worked on the Telltale games before Telltale screwed them over.
