Every single character in the family calls out all the references and plot points that they put on the show instead of talking like anything resembling real people, as if pointing out that something is unoriginal excuses putting it in the show. It's that Marvel movie dialogue where they have to wink at the audience and be like "this is shit, but I know you know this is shit" Solar Opposites is slightly better, in that they don't have the excuse of the portal gun and multiple dimensions, so each episode's plot has to somewhat be grounded on Earth, plus the characters have different personalities instead of all being the same snarky wiseguy. @@LarryHazard Largely disagree on the story and cutscenes. It has the best Batman Vidya story and properly delivered on big moments (imo) like the fights with Ra's and Clayface. The radio can be a nuisance at times on repeat playthroughs though. If you want a more substantial Batman story, you should check out some of the great batman comic storylines from the "post-crisis" era like Shaman and Gothic.

I remember I enjoyed Rick and morty for maybe a season or two. I enjoyed how they were able to bring interesting sci fi ideas to a cartoon show kinda like futurama. After a while the dialogue started to annoy me and something else about the show began to bother me but I couldn’t tell why at first. Eventually I realized it was the character of Rick sanchez that I absolutely hate. He is a millennial stuck in a senior’s body and it makes no sense, and he’s annoying as hell. Never stuck with it did they ever explain that he was an old man sent back from the future and that’s why he acts the way he does?
