Sam deserved way more screen time in Maleficent 2, I was hoping to see more of Diaval 😔

He's pretty much the saving grace of the film. It's sad to see him given so little to do when he literally lights up every single scene he's in. I would have much preferred a focus on his relationship with Maleficent than all the Dark Fae/Philip and Aurora wedding nonsense. It's a depressing amount of wasted potential and the shoehorning in of a LOT of unnecessary/illogical lore (that sadly retcons certain aspects of Maleficent 1).
