No never decorated for Valentine’s Day, however it is a big thing for gifts, flowers and restaurants. I have actually sent a card to my teenage daughter during a time when she was feeling left out. She loved it and I later found out that she kept that card till she was married, so it meant a lot to her❤❤ do your parents watch your blog, if so it must be so nice to keep up with their family members

What you could do with the snacks, if you happen to try one you can't get in Alaska that you really like, is you could get someone in AZ to send you a care package of them a couple of times a year, and you could maybe send them somethings you can only get in Alaska in return? My mother used to send me care packages of chocolate and crisps from home when I lived away in different countries. This was before online ordering way much of a thing. Just an idea. I know how unpleasant it can be to like something and not be able to get it, but it would be a shame to miss out on potential new 'loved' foods simply because you can't easily buy it up North.

I have that 128 oz water bottle...love it. I didn't think I would be able to drink all that water in 1 day, but I do. It's so easy to fill it up when I get up every morning I like to add in a few lime slices and I drink on it all day. ALOT easier than having to refill my 32 oz water bottle and keeping track of how many ...this jug just made life easier

As a single person over 50…No I do not decorate for Valentines, holiday for couples. Glad you are back! Will be in Az in 23 days!!!!! Have you ever checked out White Tank Mountain for hiking or drove over to Lake Pleasant? Great places!! It’s a must when I go!

I used to work for TSA and people would check whole suitcases of frozen soups, meals, convience foods. Especially from places like Trader joes, or whole foods. They even take Igloo coolers/totes and just duct tape them closed. So don't feel weird if you want to do that! Very normal! Especially if their final destination is Alaska.

Love Arizona....I lived in Flagstaff for about 6 years when I was in Jr high and high school and I loved it soooooo much!! Loved all the snow in Flagstaff because I'm from Arkansas where we don't get much snow at all!! But, I'm 66 now and that was soooooo many years ago. My best friend from school... Her sister lives in Scottsdale now. Never really liked the desert....I like grass and trees👍😁 Have a great time and safe trip home☺️

The white portugal pottery is gorgeous indeed, I should see at my local home depot if they sell some. It's crazy how we just took the Christmas decoration down and there is Valentine's stuff already on the shelves! We do not really decorate our houses here in Italy for Valentine's, we are more focused on chocolates and flowers :P Our next major holiday is Easter but, again, we do not go crazy over decorations. Never have decorated for Valentines day . All the Joe's Crab Shacks in our state have closed.😭 It was my absolute FAVORITE place to eat. So glad you got to enjoy those amazing pots. Your Parents look healthy and happy. Spend as much time as you can with them while you can. God bless you all

New video! So glad you're back. I do decorate for different holidays but it's very minimal and mostly Dollar Tree decorations. Christmas is where I have most of my decorations and even this year, I didn't feel like putting everything out.

I had a friend who would travel every few years, to the Bronx. (Where she grew up) She ALWAYS took a collapsible suitcase and flew back with all her favorite foods. Just an idea. 😉

I love that! I am really good at bringing boxes and bags of things back in the past. This time it was all full of Christmas presents and things we needed for the trip. We had so many bags I had to restrain this time!

I like sending/giving out Valentines, not a fan of decorating. I might go as far as sending cherry slices to my Brother since you held up that bag @ Trader Joes. I can see now why folks make a fuss over that store. Enjoyed seeing your Family Photos. Looked like everyone had a good time. The Crab Shack looked inviting, & delicious. i thought of Luna curling up in the basket. I liked seeing the Home Goods store, the dishes were really nice. Liked seeing all your favorite places you like visiting when you are home. Did you ever try mailing anything back to Alaska? I got heavy boxes once from the liquor store to mail some glasses home to myself, & got a box that had dividers in for wine bottles to protect my glasses after wrapped in newspaper. None broke.

You can totally make the everything but the bagel dip at home way cheaper. Just mix full fat Greek yogurt with the everything but the bagel seasoning. 2tsp-1tbsp per cup of yogurt. Then let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour. It’s fantastic with veggies!

Going into HomeGoods store here in San Antonio it is so much fun. I don't usually decorate for the Valentine's Day and stuff but now that I have a new grandbaby I probably will have to start because she loves colors and she loves to just touch everything. When the kids were home we decorated for most holidays, some holidays more than others. All our kids are now on their own so we decorate less. We still celebrate the holidays; we just don’t decorate for them.

It’s always, well for me, to leave a different state which I wanted to accomplish more before heading home. Always like checking out the different stores and gift shops. In Florida, we have Costco, Sam’s Club, and BJ’S not to far from us. We have Trader Joe’s but closest cos an hour away. January here is purging time. Get rid of stuff to bring to church rummage sale. No basements here, so accumulating stuff is limited.

Good Morning Hamm Family ❤️ I'm so grateful for the small glimpses into your time spent with Family. I'm so happy that your focus was more towards Family and celebrating the Holidays and your Dad. I miss mine so much. Cherish every moment ❤️ All those treats at SAMs, Trader Joe's and World Market looked yummy 😋 Love the white cook- and dinnerware. I always used to go for colors and patterns, but now I find simple white to be my favorite... clean, polished and the best for photos 🍽️ Jamba Juice is delicious. Love all those flavors. I wish we had one closer to us, but then again, it makes it taste even better, during the rare visits, when you run up on one while traveling or out and about away from home. My favorites are:🥤 Aloha Pineapple 🍍 Peach Perfection 🍑 Orange Dream Machine 🍊 Caribbean Passion 🍹 Our Chick-fil-As are always busy, but it's worth the wait, plus, they're really good at keeping things moving. I love their Spicy Chicken Sandwich with extra Pickles and Polynesian Sauce, Waffle Fries and a Soda or Shake, especially the Seasonal Peach Shake. We also buy and keep a supply of the big bottles of Chick-fil-A Sauce and Polynesian Sauce in the fridge and pantry. I made Reubens the other day and instead of the traditional Reuben Sauce, I used Chick-fil-A Sauce and Horseradish Sauce... Delicious 😋 I'm so happy you made it safely back home and will be back to filming videos. Look forward to seeing what you have in store for 2023 📽️ Oh yea, you mentioned the organizing bug... well yes, I've been bitten. I don't decorate during holidays, just not my thing, but I do like to update and upgrade my surroundings now and then. It's definitely a big "then" at the moment. The Mail Lady, FedEX, UPS and Amazon drivers must be perplexed by all the items they've been delivering, especially the thought of "where in this tiny house does it all go?" The Mail Lady is Maggie's BFF, always giving treats. Because they've all been coming and going so much, we gave them all a treat for themselves and money to resupply their treat supplies 🐶 Give Miss Luna a hug for me. Take care. Yah's Blessings ❤️

Next time you’re at Trader Joe’s I would encourage you to look at the produce section. I find fun things there that I never see anywhere else, like golden berries (cape gooseberries), and fresh baby corn. Both would be fun for snacking. I like the baby corn raw, but it’s also good pickled, air fried, or sliced in soups. I’m also a big fan of Trader Joe’s mochi rice nuggets. They’re little salty snacks that can be quite addictive.
