FCG "I'm going to scry on D" is given a clear picture. FCG "I'm going to scry on Dancer" is given THE vaguest description. Sam "Who do we go see?" starts casting Divination. Matt internally "Oh here we go. Time to really mess with him." Seriously though, it was clear D was the correct answer from the start, Sam was just pushing for Dancer for some reason.

Also D is actually willing to talk, meanwhile Dancer never replied to the last time FCG contacted her, which was after the other time FCG messaged her and she told him to stay away, which caused him to go into killer mode.

FCG isn't that strongly bound to D, D just found them and sold them on. It was Dancer who "gave them life renewed" and made them who they are now.

Depends how you define "bound". Devexion is responsible for not only finding FCG but also FRIDA. Not to mention that they are all Aeormatons. They are quite bound by make and era.

It's got to be Dancer. Why on earth would FCG be "Most Bound" to D? They've never even meet them. They scryed on them 1 time! They know nothing about each other beyond being made of Metal and linked to Aeor. FCG was dead when D sold them as scrap metal. I'd argue that FCG didn't even exist as who they are now, before Daner turned them on and introduced them to the world.

I think it boils down to the idea that if they hadn't found and sold FCG they never would have woken up so FCG does owe them quite a bit. There's also the fact that we don't really know what other role they might have played in that, like we don't know if they tinkered or left FCG with something nothing, so all we know is that they played a valuable role in that whole story but we don't know the fullness of it. For all we know FCG knew "D" from before and is much closer to them than we realize

FCG doesn't know who he used to have a past connection with. All of his assumed connections are with people after his reawakening. Davexian is where FCG is from, he pulled him from the rubble of Aeor, and he sold him... FCG wouldn't be where he is now without Davexian. Seems like a decently logical leap. And, honestly, I don't think either encounter is wrong. I think I some point they will have to visit both Dancer and Davexian. So, a logical leap in either direction isn't a bad one.
