The Slippery Dashes - Blues/Jazz fusion with an emphasis on 4 part vocal harmonies. Betrand and the Alleycats - Synth infused Big Band post-rock. Duggar's Creepers - Alt rock/Midwestern emo, Duggar is their gypsy jazz lead guitarist. Dorian's Failed Performance Check - Smooth jazz/indie punk rock. Instrumental. Dorian is their "vocalist" who just sits on stage and does nothing because he has stage fright.

I just realized why this had always felt so familiar to me. A couple years ago I was in a show with a musical interlude the actors performed in. I was on tubular chimes, and the lead singer started calling out for a chime solo in the middle of the song. We hadn't rehearsed or planned for this, so I just hit random notes at which people laughed. So for the rest of the run, I'd prep random songs to use for the solo, from Baby Shark to Flight of the Bumblebee to the Star Trek TNG theme to playing the melody one key out of tune. I eventually devolved to playing wind chimes, a broken gong, a single dissonant note, calling back that "you're not my real Dad," and finally just wailing on the chimes screaming in rock falsetto. The audience was often bemused, but the rest of the cast appeared to love the chaos.

Dugger kept escaping them via a skill called Slippery Dash and it was driving them nuts.

@@itsregal Specifically, normally movement away from someone in combat can trigger an attack of opportunity (unless you use the Disengage action, or bonus action if you're a Rogue of 2nd level or higher, or have a specific ability that allows you to move without causing them). The slipper dashes Duggar and his shadow creepers were using in the group's second fight with them didn't were just such an ability.
