Been depressed bc of this Covid 19 pandemic Lost my job, been at home alone for 3 months, got no one to come home to bc i always been alone since both my parents died years ago, had to move out from my last rent house to find a cheaper one so i could live on. This song was in EVERY SINGLE collage video made by combat medics, nurses, and physicians coming back from military deployment. I texted him I was sorry and told him I can't help being this way bc I love him so much and just want to be near him but i was willing to be patient but don't want my heart broken if it's really just about another woman.. can someone explain what he's trying to say? I think every person at some point in life feels this song. I lost my BIL at the age of 36 due to alcoholism. He was a war time veteran. Hubby and I tried and tried to fix him for 5 years but then he got in the bottom of the bottle and couldn't get out. He started binge drinking, it killed him. My father was a alki also. When I was about 7 she left him and left me with him. I remember her leaving out the door, the vintage green suitcase and beehive hair. She turned to him and said now see how alcohol is tearing this family apart. She came back 5 days later. The reason she left me is because he had no clue how to raise a kid. His profession was long hours but killer bank. I remember him going through w/D's, he went cold turkey. He too almost died. Alcohol in moderation is ok but when there's a trigger behind it is when the addict, enabler and everyone around them HAVE to change. Hubby's family is tore up, no one speaks anymore.

I know this is long but I need help from others interpreting what someone I met online over a year ago is thinking/feeling. He says I just don't know how he really feels. He requested i play this song as he watched me on my live....I boo hoo cried. He's a Leo, doesn't really explain much says he just has to do what he has to do. I left him a message on his voicemail saying I will just back off and then i realized u was just emotional about not being able able have him but I didn't want to let him go. I texted him I was sorry and told him I can't help being this way bc I love him so much and just want to be near him but i was willing to be patient but don't want my heart broken if it's really just about another woman.. can someone explain what he's trying to say? Just a little background-- he has a lot going on and right now we can't be together he says, he lives a different lifestyle he doesn't want me in. He won't even let me come see him bc he says he gotta hustle... and not in the position to date. But he he's told me he loves me and that God works in mysterious ways.We live 3.5 hours away from each other BTW. I'm Sag and my heart is so big...I don't know how to stop loving people and I'm not good at understanding what they really feel by words. So just want to know if anyone else understands what this means. Should I hold on, let go, what is it he's wanting me to do?

@@greg_216 I didn't listen to it in THAT context. I listened to (and read) the lyrics. My exhusband had suicidal and homicidal ideations. I tried to get him the help he needed. He chose to not take his medication or go for therapy. Music affects everyone differently. You say it's about helping a grieving wife. I hear a different story. Either way, it's a beautiful song and resonates with many. Thank you, Sam Smith, for gifting us your voice. 🧡

My parents trafficked me when I was young. I loved them anyway and I forgive them. I married the love of my life 10 years ago and realized he began to poison me. Talking to Jesus has helped us. My strength comes from God. However I am so very much broken. I can literally feel my heart ache. The ultimate betrayal. 💔 I just hope I can be fixed. I hope I can somehow fix what’s broken in my kids. If you believe in prayer. Pray for us please.

As a dad of one kid I can’t imagine doing this to my child, that sounds so heartbreaking. I just want you to stay strong no matter how hard it is going to be. You’ll go through it, I know it sounds so lightly, but I promise, you and your beautiful kids will go through it. It’s a huge psychological damage for your kids, visiting a family psychologist can probably help you somehow. You just need someone to talk to. And after you mentally recover, you can live again, you can find the love of your life again, the person that will always be there for you and your kids, you’ll find him. Natural gifts like this man has are unmistakable. There are people that can sing, like the singer of Chris Martin, and then there are people like this. It is just a different level of talent. My mum had a heart attack a few days ago, my dad was seriously ill, and I've looked after my entire family while trying to keep up with school work in isolation as my GCSEs are next year. This song for a brief 3 minutes made me forget all that and be in a totally different place. I was posted in the ER. She came with a crumpled leg. Crush injury. Hypovolemic shock. It was 1am. I resuscitated her, stitched some of her wounds. She required immediate referral to a higher centre but her guardians/sons could not afford the cost and also were reluctant to take her. My friend and I were with her the entire night, ran with her, took her to CT scan and usg. There were no other internal injuries and we worked tirelessly until it was 6.30am in the morning. I was so exhausted and could feel the tell-tale signs of an upcoming migraine attack. I took rest for some time and again went to check on her an hour later. Soon my shift had ended. After one day, I came to know that she had been tested positive for COVID-19. Turns out that she was an abandoned homeless person and she was mentally unstable. But I swear, while I was treating her, not a single thought that she might be positive came to my mind. Only her life mattered. It was my 3rd time high rish exposure in 2 weeks. I gave my swab a few hours back today and will give my 2nd after 5 days. Doing extra bit for my patients is it really worth it?
