Noticed that too. Their sequence in "Love in the dark" was the most touching in my opinion and I am so glad you gave them the chance to show us more of their talent here. Thanks for showing us how sensitive and brilliant your are as well, Kyle. You did great by keeping the two same dancers to continue the story. It's like a mini dance serie of two episodes. Who knows, maybe we'll be lucky enough to watch other episodes of this "show" in the coming months/years :) Keep enchanting us ^^

i absolutely love this choreography. it's simple, yet brilliantly put together. one movements is as powerful as ten. i truly love kyle's choreography because he makes me feel something i usually don't when watching choreography. i choked up a lot watching this video. especially at the part when everyone is pushing and keeping the guy back from being with this love. that broke my heart and made me cry from the raw emotion exhibited. it's just so powerful. what i mostly love about kyle hanagami is that even if it doesn't personally pertain to me. it makes me take a step back and see problems others face. so thank you kyle for your selflessness and creating for us and allowing us to see just how amazing you are

That was so beautiful I have been reduced to tears by the extremely artistic choreography. This wasn't just a dance it was a play in itself the movements of the two leads duet parts had a softer feeling whilst the ensemble had a more explosive and harsh edge to it the differences in the choreo of the lead and the ensemble when they were dancing together made it feel like he was breaking out of the confines of society's views that you should act and be one way and saying 'I'm unique, I am my own person and nothing you say and do will keep me from showing it.' The simplicity of the set and clothes meant that as a viewer you could focus overall atmosphere and the actual movement and the story it tells without getting distracted by flashy costumes or props. This is an exceptional example of the range of senarios and emotions that you can show through contemporary dance.

I just realized that "It is him I love" could have two meanings, as he loves his partner, and can't change his sexuality no matter how many people tell him it is wrong, or he loves God. He still has faith in his religion, and he trusts that God will still love him, regardless of his sexuality. Idk just a thought
@bookiebook85433 жыл бұрын
I mean, same with "Father". I often see in stories about gay men that the father tends to be the disapproving parent more than the mother is. In a way, this is a plea to both his God and his father to accept who he is. This entire song is about reconciling your faith and your sexuality in a world, and for some people a religion, that thinks you shouldn't exist.

Such a pure message in the strength that it both takes and brings to stand with those you love in the face of adversity. It will be challenging, people will try to stop you, you may even get to doubt yourself, but the moment someone reaches out and touches you, the rest of it all fades away because in doing so they've shown you that you're not wrong and ultimately you do not stand alone. really really touching. especially the lyric that says "how can i make you understand?" and then this whole video and choreography is in essence doing just that---making society understand. However, i will say tho, just about a lyric in the song that goes "i'm not the boy you thought you wanted". If this is in reference to thinking God doesnt want you because you are LGBTQ+, this hurts me that this mindset is perpetuated because God loves all His children unconditionally in spite of any genuine or perceived flaws/shortcomings/wrongdoings/imperfections--and especially despite what society and the world may say about you. He is the only judge.
