It wasn't about God it was about praying to the devil. Pay attention to the lyrics at one point he's ask the question who's gonna take me God or the devil? Then goes on to say that he is just him a unrepentant sinner and that heaven doesn't want him but that's okay because he know people who gots his back and can save him from his fall from heaven and as he see the world in chaos his heart is shaken by fear having turn his back on religion or god for not wanting him in heaven as a sinner he starts to pray, praying one hears him doesn't matter who.
