Can’t wait for this, your dad will be so proud. Sam’s music genuinely saved my life. A couple of years I went through a stage of serious depression, I wasn’t happy, healthy & reached a point where I didn’t want to live anymore. I had no hope for anything. Sam’s music resonated with how I was feeling at the time & it just gave me some comfort to cling onto, hope & happiness. His voice is exceptional, the range, emotion & storytelling is captivating. However, his writing comes from his heart & you can tell that - I listened to each & every word of his songs, they at times described exactly how I felt. I went to Sam’s live gig in Leeds earlier this month - I’ve been to many gigs before, but this one hit different. I replayed so much that night, good and bad, however listening to the songs that not only saved my life, but will always remain a part of my life, was special. Sam, if you read this, thank you.

@@DanRodenby I relate so hard to what you’re talking about. I always thought i knew how deep depression can get, but I had no idea when it actually took me even further to the bottom… Even had one attempt. That part of my life was scary but I survived it. My grandmother passed away a few days ago. She raised me from 6 y/o. She was essientally my mother. She had dementia and i took up the responsibilty for caring for her over the last 10 years. it really sucks to lose two mothers in one life. I heard this song when it first came out.... i had to pull it up again during this trying time. Thank you.

[Verse 1] Few days since you were gone, and I've recognized the change They told me to be strong, well, I knew that anyway 'Cause you're the one who taught me everything I've ever known about it And I know you won't be home, but, I'll drive by anyway I'll slow right down and brake, I will imagine that you're wavin' at me like you did Back when things were right and not so clouded [Pre-Chorus] But I hope you know [Chorus] Wasn't only a building, you lifted and left behind You left your childrеn, and with them, came your bloodline Evеn though you've left here, believe me, you'll never die There will always be a little bit of you in I [Verse 2] It's hard to see the sun, when you're stuck within its shade This feeling weighs a ton, but, you know what pressure makes Yeah, it makes diamonds, but, no man is an island on their own I didn't look at my mom, I, 'can't comprehend the pain 'Cause I don't know what I'd do, if she drifted away I can't imagine how, to live without the one that brought me into this world [Pre-Chorus] But she hopes you know, oh-oh, oh [Chorus] Wasn't only a building, you lifted and left behind You left your children, and with them, came your bloodline Even though you've left here, believe me, you'll never die There will always be a little bit of you in- [Bridge] All I want is To be with you Hearin' the stories about, how you built your life 'Cause I'm fallin' And I miss you, ooh-ooh, ooh But I'm not worried 'cause I Know you're by my side (Ooh-ah, oh-oh, woah-ah, ah, ah-ah, ah) [Chorus] Wasn't only a building, you lifted and left behind You left your children, and with them, came your bloodline Even though you've left here, believe me, you'll never die There will always be a little bit of you in I Wasn't only a building (Oh-oh), you lifted and left behind (Oh-oh) You left your children, and with them, came your bloodline Even though you've left here, believe me, you'll never die (No, ooh, ooh) There will always be a little bit of you in I

Sam, This one has meant a lot to me since it came out. I've lost both my parents and it's hard. I was fortunate enough to be with both when they passed. It was horrible and beautiful at the same time. I was also fortunate enough to get to say goodbye and say all the things that needed to be said. Lots of people don't get that. But I miss them both so much.

@Panja19982 жыл бұрын
This song is so so beautiful, one of the best songs he's done and the one that's touched my heart the very very most! This pandemic has been a hard time for so so many people around the world. I've lost 2 of the most important people in my life during this whole time... My nan and most recently my dad. I lost my nan last year in May, she was in a care home with last stage dementia but with a full lockdown and this pandemic as something so new and fresh we were unable to visit her. Having her dementia she thought we'd all left her and abandoned her, we even called the care home and she didn't want to speak to us - she was under 3 stone in weight when we lost her but luckily my mom was able to be by her side and see her off. I lost my dad last month. October 4th. We were going on a small little holiday as mum, dad, my boyfriend and me. On the Friday dad said he was unwell, thought it was a bit of a bad stomach, as the day went on and we arrived in Wales he picked up a lot. Saturday he woke and he said he was passing blood, we told him to immediately go to a doctor or hospital. By Monday, he was gone due to internal bleeding. We were all (thanks to my sister driving over 100 miles to help us) lucky to see him go and say our goodbyes. What broke my heart was not only was it my dad but we were just about able to see him before he left us. 4 calls we'd received during the time to say come and visit him, when we tried we were sent away, told the whole hospital was in lockdown. We only made it into the hospital to say our goodbyes as my boyfriend (who has hemiplegia cerebral palsy) demanded a nurse let's us in! She was telling me and him (who don't know Wales and the hospital) to walk up stairs... A disabled guy... Walk upstairs. We were horrified! But overall we were so thankful that we were there with him. So after all that, I'm so so thankful to Sam for making this song and for him expressing feelings that so many of us will be able to relate to. At a time like this too so many people need comfort and to hear things like this so for Bloodline I am so so thankful. Much love Sam. And for those who have lost a loved one, you're all in my thoughts and prayers, much love to all you guys too xx

I just wanted to say this song is such a inspiration. My 13 year old best friend just recently lost her mum due to immune system failure and this song has helped her whole family. It relates so much to her and is being played at her mums funeral soon. Your music seriously changes peoples lives. Losing a parent is the most painful thing a child can go through but having this song saved her. Your lyrics are so relatable and you released this song the day after her mum passed away. Your dad is proud of you and your accomplishments. This song is just beautiful and he is watching my you. God bless you and your family.
