Ikr? I had to quit season 10 bc it just was getting way too Dean-centric with Dean being a hypocritical asshole for my tastes. As someone else said, it became Dean from Dean's perspective instead of Dean from Sam's perspective, so from what I saw, Dean was a huge asshole yet got barely any personal consequences from it. Don't get me wrong, I love them but the writers did them dirty and most of my liking for the show dried up somewhere around season 8 (god Dean was so hypocritical and douchy in that season, then wonders why Sam was so ready to die) and what little remained definitely dried up around s10.

He had a good storyline in season 7 with hallucifer, but then they forgot it. Also in season 8, but then they forgot it. In season 9 we had the argument with him and Dean that could mean great character development, but then they dropped it after one episode. And in season 11, of course, we could've had a great storyline with the cage returning, but oh well, they forgot it. Well, you got my point.
