An inductively coupled plasma (ICP) or transformer coupled plasma (TCP) is a type of plasma source in which the energy is supplied by electric currents which are produced by electromagnetic induction, that is, by time-varying magnetic fields. ICP Is an ionization source that fully decomposes a sample into its constituent elements and transforms those elements into ions.

Hello! I would like to ask how many degrees of freedom is the number of ions in this simulation and how long does it take to calculate them?

Hello, Jinqibai. Thank you for your question. The ICP Inductively coupled plasma video uploaded is a video that we made for demonstration purposes when we started developing samadii/plasma a few years ago. The video only shows the behavior of the particles in an electromagnetic field, and many assumptions were arbitrarily put in specifically for the video. (For example, the amount and location of electron-ions generated by the ionization reaction were arbitrarily specified.) Yes, we can. Argon ICP is a great ion source for elemental analysis spectrometry (emmision and mass).
