Here in America we are living in such a chaotic world that it is a pleasure to watch your videos to take away the problems of todays world.

My friends in Scotland say it's no different there than here. Food prices went up, rents gone up, mine here in Indiana just raised another $50 but my income still the same. We poor will be on the streets one day if this keeps up. Sometimes I'd rather live in a cold castle then a place where you have no peace and quiet and no one ever fixes anything. That place would definitely have to be updated big time for someone now. Massive but beautiful! You cant afford the candles anymore and the wood for the fireplaces, back 100yrs ago the trees were many and today, doesn't pay to burn wood 24-7 like then.

@@Juleswuzhere I think men are finding it every bit as difficult to cope in this world which has gone crazy .. In fact, I really feel for my husband having to deal with the bitch-faced, gender-entitled women he has to work with. It's a screwed-up world and it's getting tougher and tougher regardless of gender.

I can imagine this place when it was full of servants and families and life. I felt such sadness while you were going through seeing the disrepair and decay. These beautiful things meant so much to the families that lived here. You did a wonderful job of showing us into their lives of a time long forgotten. I can’t image what would lead to the abandonment of everything that was their home for generations.

Ideal explore. Huge castle home with secret stairways and secret rooms and so many rooms it went on and on. Woodworks and tons of velvet furniture. Artworks. Loved it all. The estate is large and must have been beautifully kept once with walled areas and big gates. So much here. Thank you. I could tell you enjoyed this place, I sure did. The families who occupied this castle had wonderful and intimately designed living space where young students and children had all they needed surrounding them. What a great place to live in! 💙🌸🐌🌙

That black Cape you looked at is called a Cope. It's what a Priest would have worn for certain liturgies and church ceremonies. As this cope is black in pre Vatican 2 days it would have been worn for funeral liturgies. Hope this info helps. Absolutely ❤️ your videos thank you for making them. Hello, I am new to your channel and enjoying it. I watch several other Urban Explorers, and enjoy something from each site. Love Old Castles, Old Palatial Homes, and especially all the Antiques and personal effects. Sad all this and the homes go to waste, and are left to rot- except on "film". BTW the book @27:18 has the old oil dipped technique some have revived today and that my friend Susie that makes paper also does beautifully. You float different colored oils on the surface of water in a tub and can then draw/pull oil colors into more complex designs on the surface (like "feathering"), then the paper is pulled through the oil- where it sticks onto the surface. I'm guessing they dipped the inner edge pages after book assembly- but no expert! Not sure what the term is, but paper makers and also people coating objects like guitars, and other objects are using this age old technique in unique cool new ways. The variety is endless and beautiful!

Looks like many rooms were converted into bedsits and flats around 70's and 80's esp those with timber wall divisions and the many bathrooms. Maybe inhabited in recent times since there was a set of ear buds in a drawer.the Curiously what the preserved food was in jars you found but didn't say. I dont know if its my audio or yours but I hear the guy ok but not the girl's voice on all your videos but not on other explorations. Good productions, filming and choices of music.

Great exploration as always! The magician's cape is actually a Roman Catholic cope from a funeral vestment set. The dove represents the Holy Spirit. The portraits with the Roman numerals are the later kings of France..Louis 15th as a child, and after the French Revolution, Louis the 18th and Charles 10th. The bed with the drapes and canopy is called a lit a la Polonaise.

Love all the furniture and stuff left behind. This leaves so many Questions? How do u know they never come home? Who owns it now? Did they die? ECT..... Here in America we can find the history on any property from the 1st owners to present. Thanks for the video guys!!!! I don't watch these videos cause they always leave so many unanswered questions. This one came across my youtube feed because I'm watching a couple restore a French Chateau.

French property inheritance laws dictate that all children must inherit equals shares. No will nor legal wrangling can over-ride this law, set in place (I believe) during Napoleon's rein. If the siblings do not ALL agree to sell, then the property can not be sold. If by default, the property stays in the family, no one person has responsibility for maintaining it. Most simply walk away because the costs to keep a chateau in good repair are prohibitive. It's archaic and so destructive to national heritage, and heartbreaking to see.

The drawings you wondered about were were of the various French kings. Louis le Grand was Louis the XIV, the longest ruling monarch in history, also known as the Sun King. He was very proud of his nice legs. There was Louis the X111, Louis the XVI, married to Marie Antoinette, both beheaded in the French Revolution, and zi think Charles. X. People would have pictures of the monarchs in their homes.

Fabulous Chateau it should be saved it's a crime to let in rot. The drawings in the frames refer to Kings of France - The X V 111 are roman numerals. ie: Charles X is Charles the 10th, Louis XV111 is Louis the 18th. X = 10/ V = 5/ 1 = 1st/ 11= 2nd/ 111= 3rd etc. Great explore guys.
