We travel to a rural farming village to find a timber framed cottage that nobody would even know is here anymore.
We are greeted by a vast collection of curiosities from all around the world,
every room is packed to capacity with books, paintings and classical music, treasures collected by a couple who loved to travel.
They lived here with their two children but when they moved out, the extensive collection of paintings grew, crammed between every beam are scenes created by their favourite artist.
The decay now threatens to destroy this beautiful home and everything in it.

My wife and I really enjoy your channel! I do have a question, have you thought of wearing masks when the house has black mold all over? Here in the USA black mold can cause some major health problems. Be careful and keep searching!

Omg Jess that collection is worth thousands of needs reported that should be in a gallery for everyone to enjoy before it ends up swallowed up by mold and decay you could report it and it's where abouts to the nearest art gallery but I W would take a few smaller ones out the frames roll them up and keep them such a shame for those to be wasted what a lovely place

That has to have been your best ever explore. Intriguing property, so busy, decor and full of interest. I would have wanted to go again tomorrow. And the day after. The paintings and so many of them. Intricate artwork too some of it. 2nd trashed place belonging to an artist. Well. Fabulous. A proper artist studio. Would have been splendid in its day. Very Continental in its style lol. Loved everything about tonight’s premiere. Thank you. Absolutely brilliant.

I get the feeling that this was a summer home or a getaway cottage where they would go to read and listen to music and just unplug and unwind. Does not look like it was a fully functioning family home. Fantastic explore. And I also would imagine that this home was built probably in the 1600s judging by the hand hewn timbers in the top floor. And I am sure you found out: Auguste Allongé (19 March 1833, Paris - 4 July 1898, Bourron-Marlotte) was a French painter, illustrator and engraver.

Sam and Jess, you are probably tired of hearing this but "PLEASE" wear masks when you're in these homes, the mold particles that you are breathing will come back to bother you when you are older and could cause serve lung damage, I say this out of love for you two, ok now this little cottage was so cute and probably a charmer in its day. Love from N.Y.

What a fabulous place, barring the zombie spiders, it was just so beautiful and cozy, especially in its day. My partner and I kept arguing (in a fun way) about how they got the are, we finally agreed it had to be a collector… paintings were beautiful. I saw the trashed artwork place which was so sad to say, I really cannot stand people who deliberately trash places. I am wondering whether the people who trashed it didn’t like the “kind” of artwork in here. Another great video guys. 🧡💜

Guys this is such a golden house as it has tons of books and nature paintings....i love to hv this kind of cosy house but it is sad to see when mould & spider webs started to cover some parts of the house....& if ur exploration expose to mouldy houses like this i suggest better that u guys wear mask and with gloves just to be careful as mould can get really contagious.....but u sure hv gone to so many places anyway this is just for the safe side for u both. But I'm really sad to see such beautiful cottage full with treasures of the nature slowly wash away by moulds & webs. But what had happen to the owner?? Hope the government or whoever inherit the place would come n save the books n paintings save keeping back to museums n library. 😥😥Thank you Sam & Jess for this golden journey.

This place is absolutely beautiful. No to the spider webs! What an amazing place. Such intriguing things left in there. Such a shame with the black mold as it will destroy all the beautiful things. I just feel such a sad presence in there. Maybe because the person was left alone. When the spouse passed away. I haven’t felt that with any of your other videos.😢 Such love was in that place when they were there by all the items left behind. Thanks Jess and Sam for such an amazing video.

It breaks my heart that this beautiful artwork is going to be ruined. In America we have estate sales where all contents of people homes are sold and the proceeds go to the surviving family members. It's a shame these belongings were not inherited by a family member.

According to Google, Auguste Allongé was a famous artist. He was born in 1833 and died in 1898. I guess all his unsold paintings were passed on through the generations and the family kept selling his artworks: the fact that one of the pictures had a tag from an auction could simply indicate that it was auctioned and didn't sell. I can't believe those beautiful and valuable works of art are left to rot in that moldy house. 💔 Looks like he was a remarkably prolific artist!

Sam and Jess, I think I am in love! My jaw hit the floor seeing this small home so lovingly filled with so much culture, I was so lost in what to look at it held so much. You need not guess the type of couple that lived with in these walls, the love that must have been held to one another as it was to this home. It shows in how beautifully things were placed to shelfs and stored for all to be shared and enjoyed throughout their time there. *Takes a deep breath still looking upon the visions before me. * Tis sad that time is slowly taking it away from us. You always find such amazing places, I'm so jealous, lol Love you both as always and thank you for allowing all to see these treasures. It truly means a lot to see them alongside you both♥ Btw, that cellar I would never go in w/o screaming hahaha... Your brave cause I am not a spider fan tbh. 😵‍💫😮😱 The last bit of footage was sad; I hate the lack of respect people have for these places to destroy things as they did.
