I hesitate to write a comment after listening to this as - in doing this - I lapse into the subject- object state. This meditation takes us to the heart of it all, to the very purpose of Vedanta. No words can thank you enough for bringing this to us.

I believe happiness, when it comes without a reason, without being based on any particular object, IS liberation from suffering. What other liberation can there be, than liberation in the mind?
@jennybengtsson1223 Жыл бұрын
Advaita vedanta which is what this teaching in the video is, means non dualism. So for there to be happiness there would have to be unhappiness. Liberation from suffering in this teaching is no state. Coming to the realisation that there is no one to feel or identify with the state. You just are. The mind only exists as long as there is a “I” identifying it self with the world. A “I” that believes that this is good and that is bad. A “I” that claims this makes me happy and that makes me unhappy. A “I” that lives in a life of ups and downs. For every good theres a bad and so on. A life lived like a yoyo🪀

Hi Samaneri ... was wondering if you could check out ... Know Yourself ... by Balyani ... see if you think it would be worth adding to your marvelous list of readings ...
@SamaneriJayasara4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the prompt Patrick - I have it to review but do you know I have already done "Know Yourself" by Ibn Arabi? If not here's the direct link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnOzaot-aJqUgsU&ab_channel=SamaneriJayasara
@drfstay4 жыл бұрын
Balyani is another name for Ibn Arabi, I believe. No matter. ‘Know thyself’ is perhaps the epitome of the non dual expression. It’s simply incredible, as is this reading of Jean Kline.
@SamaneriJayasara4 жыл бұрын
@@drfstay Ah thanks Ray. I was confused about the use of those 2 different names on the book and wasn't sure if it was referring to a separate person altogether. Thanks for clarifying.
@EAMason-ev3pl3 жыл бұрын
@@drfstay And thanks for, "Know thyself." Simple (lol) way to bring focus back to Self❤️.
