Vajrayoginī - Instructions for Cutting Through Delusion (Trekchö) - Dzogchen (Extended Version)

This is the longer version of the recording I posted some months back. It has more spaces to facilitate a longer, deeper meditation.
This teaching was revealed by Chokgyur Lingpa. Trekchö is translated as ‘thoroughly cutting through’ (resistance, stubbornness, toughness and closedness), or ‘breakthrough’. The practice of trekchö reveals the view of primordial purity beyond conceptual elaboration. Trekchö means cutting through delusion with fierce, direct thoroughness.
Vajrayoginī is a Tantric Buddhist female Buddha and a ḍākiṇī. Vajrayoginī's essence is "great passion", a transcendent passion that is free of selfishness and illusion - she intensely works for the well-being of others and for the destruction of ego clinging. She is seen as being ideally suited for people with strong passions, providing the way to transform those passions into enlightened virtues. According to scholar Miranda Shaw, Vajrayoginī is "inarguably the supreme deity of the Tantric pantheon. No male Buddha, including her divine consort, Heruka-Cakrasaṃvara, approaches her in metaphysical or practical import."

@@SamaneriJayasara I needed your words today. I’ve been distraught with pointlessness of practicing. Of balancing the line of thought that there’s no one here doing anything and nothing to do, it’s happening of itself and still we must practice. That enlightenment is an accident, that grace is the only way, that no amount of “personal effort” will bring enlightenment and yet don’t give up. Keep practicing. I am god, I am not go. We are god but god is something else too. Omg so many ideas and yet like a hungry ghost I eat and eat and eat hoping for something to happen and end up worse and hungrier still. Seeking is the ego but practice anyway. Meditation reinforces the separate self but do it anyway. I fluctuate between a desolate desert of nihilism and moments sublime. I guess I go practice as there is literally nothing else to do here. I lost interest in “the world” as a small boy. Having sought satisfaction in what the world offers and having found it digs the well of emptiness all the deeper, there is only 1 thing to do here. I agree with Ramana. The only thing to do here is realize god. Well I’m tired. I surrender but cannot stay surrendered. I quit but cannot quit.

Surrender your thinking. You have to give it up and just let the thoughts go. There is nothing to worry about you will not become incapable of thinking. Sit patiently and wait for the water to clear. It is important that you trust your own intuitive intelligence. Its there already before each word that arises in your mind as is the silence. If you learn to remain silent things become clear of their own accord. There is no end to the wilderness of thoughts. We fool ourselves into "thinking" that we "know" but thinking is imaginary. Thoughts are only mind-made projections. Its the very thing keeping the wool over your eyes. It is a veil. Relax, relax, relax, and let go. Overcome your restlessness, it is really just the impatience of the desiring mind. It is our desire for or against that causes these thoughts to arise. Hi ... I'm coming from doing the meditation ... So, in my case ... I had some thinking emerged ... And one thought, which i deliberately wanted to evoke, in the state of fucused attention ... What I discovered, it's a totat different world; but it's translated in physical sensation ; in other words... I had a knowledge in physical sensation. I don't know why, I ask my self if it can make sense, or it' s stupid...that's why I' m writing here. I know that I am a woman and my best way to know is my body. I've never, never thought that beside something horrible, my body is in immense strength. Stillness. Power. I didn't want to write this here but I'm very passionate to communicate. Hi, sorry for the delay in responding. I did actually write something in response to your question/query some days ago but it seemed to have disappeared for some reason. I think what you are alluding to here is the awareness that thoughts or the cognitive process can be felt within the body as sensation. Yes, that is indeed the case but many people are not sensitive or aware of that. Each thought has a corresponding energy - sometimes very obvious, sometimes very subtle - but a energetic felt sensation in the body nonetheless. It's good that you are aware and sensitive to this and can develop an experiential understanding of how thoughts impact our bodily state. Most of science and other movements are aware of this. That is why they emphasize the importance of thinking positive, optimistic thoughts for the health and well-being of the body. A constant negative stream of thoughts will impact how one feels physically and result in lethargy, depression, tension, stress, and the like. The body can be our great teacher as to what we are thinking at a very subconscious level so it's good to pay attention to it. With best wishes

“This empty and luminous mind nature does not truly exist. Although it does not truly exist it cognizes everything. Thus to rest in the state of emptiness and luminous awareness is known as the ground of cutting through. Now do thoughts occur during this state of stillness? Is there stillness while the thoughts occur? There are thoughts during the state of stillness and there are four ways of cutting through them (1) like a cat waiting for a mouse look directly into the essence of thought (2) like a Brahmin threading a needle keep awareness balanced and look into the essence of the thoughts (3) like a watchman in a watch tower look into the thoughts into the state of undistracted awareness (4) like an arrow flying from an archer look into thought within the state of one pointed awareness.”

Thanks for your kind offer. However, KZbin generally provide auto closed captions for people to turn on if they wish. Not always though for some reason. Additionally, I only have a certain amount of gigabytes available each month to upload here and on the podcasts so if I upload large video files instead of these audio files it uses a lot of my data and I can't really afford to purchase a lot more. Lastly, I design these recordings as audios deliberately for people to get into a meditative state and to turn and look within as they are listening, so it's actually more effective if they are not reading the words and resting more in their hearts as they absorb the meaning. Much appreciation though anyway.

I witnessed MY SELF for more Then two days, I did it without any purpose. I was empty for two full days, I forgot everything and everyone, my focus was on me "the knower" .The third day morning I felt something was inside me maybe' void '. Someone was looking through my eyes. I got so sacred , after that incident I couldn't dare to look at myself again, but I am restless since than . ( I realised that day I'm not the doer. This is the first glimpse of awakening. Only suffering and ignorance lie before this, so keep going. If you need to talk to someone, find a guru in your area or a spiritual group.

So sorry for the delay in responding to your request for some guidance. Just seeing this now. These powerful awakening experiences can be frightening as they are so different from our normal waking mundane consciousness and can blow us out of the water. However, there is nothing to fear - nothing has gone wrong. In fact, you should rejoice in this opening and trust in the Dharma. Your fear is just the ego realizing that it's time of delusion is limited, and while it can feel terrifying to the ego, something deep within you knows that you are not this fraud. You glimpsed the Deathless Reality that we all are, and melted into the flow of this non-personal life and Awareness. Allow yourself to gently integrate that insight now. Live normally, be kind, be happy and let things unfold as they will anyway. See it all as a magic show and keep letting go of clinging and delusion when you see it within yourself. This is the right path my friend. I send you much love 💜
