Thinking the same thing a few days ago. Just "discovered" Samantha on KZbin several months ago and immediately looked her up on Spotify to see if she had any recordings. Sure enough... still not sure how she slipped by me. Saw the Samantha Fish Band live last night at the Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh. Nothing you will see on social media or tv comes close to the live show.Every member of the band was on fire ,easily a stadium act and blow the doors off many well known established groups. Samantha Fish right up there with the best vocalists out there, highly recommended viewing if you can find a European venue that is not already sold out as the remainder of the UK gigs are. The tickets were booked by my father as he is a big fan of talented guitar players, i don't usually go to live gigs although my wife is a regular festival goer. We were both certainly glad we had the opportunity to the see the band live.

OMG. Thats Amy Winehouse and Johnny Winter unified, sent back to earth in Form of a Marylin Monroe Haircut! Back in the day (for me it was the the mid to late 70's), bands did three studios and the a live. With KZbin, is a live album worth the expense? The music industry has gone all topsy turvy. It used to be that albums is where you made money and tours were advertising. Now albums are advertising and tours are where the money is made. Not complaining any business model that supports live music is great.

I'm sure this is true but on a personal level due to health problems I can no longer attend concerts so have to make do with DVDs. I also like to have physical CDs in preference to downloads. Having said that I may attempt to see Joanne Shaw Taylor this November. It will likely end in tears but could be worth the risk.
