This song is not her normal style but a very good style and change. I love all her music. She is very talented and beautiful. This song pulls on the heart strings a little bit. She has a very beautiful voice. It seems to be a personal song of her own fairy tale. We all live in a tale of our own and sometimes not realizing it. She has branched out for a change and has successfully succeeded and I am proud of her. Rest assured, the bluesy rockin Samantha with those trade mark stilettos will always be there. Love hearing someone actually sing with their real voice. If you listen to these mainstream radio stations a large majority of these vocalists are using autotune and not just for a vocal effect for part of the song. Many of these mainstream artists use autotune for their entire vocals in a song and for myself this very heavy use of autotune sounds robotic and very weird but so many people have gotten use to this that they thing that this is normal singing. Autotune sounds good when it is used to a certain extent for a certain effect but to use it entirely just makes it sound weird and robotic plus with all these vocalists using this autotune so heavily it is very hard to tell them apart. I love it when I hear vocalists that use their natural voice like Samantha Fish does in her songs. Too much of modern music is relying on too much technology in their music whether it is for a vocal effect of an effect with their instruments.

Someone else's ideal or fantasy,” Samantha explains. “The video has ‘real-life Samantha’ looking for answers and inspiration. The heroine in the story might have all the pieces of what she's looking to be, but she is still wandering through a fairy tale. There are no happy endings when you are trying to measure up for someone else. If you don't own who you are, you'll still end up lost in the woods.”

IMO a good video but the video editing to me is amateurish in some aspects. Just as an example, why didn't the editor cut out the blurred close up of trees as the camera panned. Also, the sound didn't match up to her lips in all cases...these things were distracting. She is talented and hope see more and better support for her.

I’m a big fan of her guitar style and toughness. I understand her team is trying hard for her to crossover and expand her audience. She deserves that having paid her dues for years. This isn’t her brand, as we know it so the “fit” feels strange but that’s not due to a lack of quality. The melody is unique and charming and a big stretch from the familiarity we all enjoy in her typical I, IV, V chord structures. Give this time. Listen to it 4 or 5 times before you decide what you feel. I think this song is far better as a pure audio experience as it can evoke something more personal and appealing versus The Lady In The Lake imagery of the video (the sets are poorly dressed and their budget probably wouldn’t allow them to create the right environment for the romantic “Queen Of Hearts” costume she’s wearing. Compare this to “These Dreams” by Heart if my words aren’t quite getting you there. Samantha, I do wish you the best with this single. Perhaps you could release a companion video where you perform the song solo on acoustic guitar? Performance is the tiger in your tank! A new fan who fell in love with your guitar work and vocals on “Bitch On The Run” live at O’dells. Chris

I thought, that just as I have days that dont seem to fit my "style" of play and those days are the "One's" that show us our own measure. Like a mirror that you don't see. Rather one that you feel and hear. The true markers of our artistic (MUSICAL) growth, and maybe this is one for Sammantha. This is just my way of seeing an aural anomaly, as the best possible reason for being. Samantha might add her thoughts and then we could know truly what she was feeling when she created this beautiful piece, and possibly, if we're lukky, why.
