I have seen Sam live at least once a year since 2014. I have seen her change the lineup more times than I can remember. Over the years she has had some very talented musicians accompanying her on tour and her shows have always been extremely moving for me. It is impossible to describe to someone who has not seen her perform in person the feeling you have when you exit the show. I have always felt like I was just given a gift, she puts so much emotion into her performance. As I said I have seen her on stage with just about every lineup she has ever had. Unfortunately the current rhythm section she has is the weakest I have seen with her. I've played bass in bands for 30+ years and I know how a drummer and bass player should connect, these guys don't have that connection. I'm sure this is not permanent as she switches out often.

Personal choice is best served on your street and maybe mine. Amen, pass the Fish, Zito, Burks, Bang, Moss, Castilia in whatever lineup they have -the day they got here; don't care. I watched Chris change clothes for Zito; miss Michael and GoGoRay; no matter how that sounds, true. Sam is Sam and we have been blessed in Li'l memphis. Sounds as you have too. For me it was Sam opening for RSB on our lawn with my classmate Dave Luther opening for Sam. What line is best or permanent with Covid?

I can feel it right here. I went and checked out Rory Gallagher and Ana Popovich, which people have compared her to. They are fast and skilled and know lots of tricks, but Ms. Fish is just INTENSE. Compared to her, everyone else is just phoning it in. That makes all the difference to me.
