I heard Samantha Fish by accident a few months back and fell in love with her voice, particularly her more blues stuff. She deserves to be better known.

Interesting. We really like this singer and guitar player along with her ensemble. It doesn’t happen often, but when I am on the brink of giving up hope for new music that is truly worth a listen, a new artist or new band comes around and retakes the stage with amazingly refreshing performance and sound. She didn't "miss" anything. Her signal cut out momentarily, so she held the guitar up to the mic in the hopes that it would pick it up. That caused her to miss a couple of strings for one second. I'm not a huge fan of hers, but that was totally NOT her fault.

your comment is well said. I do think Samantha is underrated. She has an excellent voice with a lot of range. Her guitar skills are great. As well as, she's a solid song writer (music and lyrics). On a personal note, I wanted to be a musician so bad. I even got into Berklee School of Music. But my parents convinced me to go to Boston University, and from there I went on to become a surgeon. Have no regrets being a physician....my other love is science. And currently, I still play guitar in a band. We usually get booked at little place on Broadway St. in Nashville. Which is close to my work (Vanderbilt U, Medical Center. At 55 yrs. of age, I still dream of hitting the big time. Nothing wrong with dreaming.

The way how Samantha Fish plays, makes me completely mesmerised with her equally powerful vocal. It is very rare to see whether Male of Female artist sings and plays the main solo at the same time at this modern era oc today. She is a versatile player . I am based in Maldives but really want to be in her live performance. Now I am in 50's and playing on acoustic fod the last 2 yrs 6 months. I feel like visiting to US just to watch her play live. Her performance is unique with her absolute ease on the stage.

Discovering Samantha Fish was like hearing Kid Rock for the first time. Such raw pure talent. These women guitarists that started raining down is the most refreshing thing that's happened to music since alternative rock. Orianthi , Nita Strauss, and the beautiful Samantha Fish. It normally doesn't hurt to be gorgeous but it wouldn't matter if these ladies were butt ugly and 400 pounds. They can outplay anybody on the stage and Samantha can write and sing as well as she can wield the axe. I absolutely love her. 😘

We are blessed to live in a time when there are a slew of great lady blues vocalists and guitarists , but Samantha's vocals and picking on Charlie Christian's (corrected below) Jim Lee's Blues is a time traveling masterpiece supported by a great Scott Joplinesque full band arrangement. What sublime artistry. I also second the comment that the recording quality couldn't be better. Fantastic every which way.

If you really want to have your socks blown off and this Lady I'm going to mention is relatively unknown but getting exposure VERY quickly is Molly Tuttle, mind-boggling ✝️ cross-picking acoustic ▶️ player from N.California( like former Alison Krauss band member Ron Block) but seriously, folks, Molly Tuttle is amazingly talented and sings fabulous- I also highly recommend Sierra Hull, a world class mandolin player from Northeast Tn, she's played 4 Barack& Michelle's Whitehouse for a command performance/w Allison-peace out from ETn, Smoky Mtns. area!

First saw her at Knuckle Heads Sallon in Kansas City, then at the Rootsfest in Paola, Kansas. She's such a classy woman. True star of the blues. My cousin Moose Calahan loved to hear this womans voice. He was "blues harp" player in the Denver area. Played kc several times.

I think if this was 30 years ago, she would be a lot more talked about. I'm sorry, but as a younger person, I've noticed that the music scene and industry pretty much sucks today! Great stuff, thanks Samantha. Such a great sense of timing and feel. I noticed that from 10:17 on, the picture vibrates with the bass and kick. Notice the amp knobs above the Hartke logo behind the bassist. I'm guessing it was pretty loud, live.
