If she had a double mastectomy, how did they find it? You don't get a mammogram after having a mastectomy. Ultrasound.? Well wishes to Samantha
@_Nat_A_2 ай бұрын
As a breast cancer survivor, who had a Mastectomy,I’m going to assume she gets annual MRI’s and bloodwork. MRI’s are the gold standard for early breast cancer detection.
@msaunsha2 ай бұрын
I had a double mastectomy when I was first diagnosed 14 years ago. Last year prior to my recurrence diagnosis, I thought I had an imperfection or ripple of some sort on my implant. When they did an MRI, they said it was only a benign cyst but wanted to remove it so that it didn’t get infected. When they did the surgery to remove it, they ran pathology and it came back as cancer again; even though I had breasts removed. So the benign cyst that they thought, was really a malignant tumor. It can happen after a full mastectomy. Those cancer cells can hide and lie dormant for a long time. 😢 And to answer your question, I didn’t have a get mammograms or ultrasounds after my mastectomy since I supposedly no longer had breast tissue. 🥹
@Babyhaswon2 ай бұрын
@@msaunsha I think I get it, thanks! She also mentioned she was going to have a partial mastectomy due to the recent find. So if she already had a double mastectomy, what will they be removing?

Of course it came back. It always comes back. There is no such thing as remission. It is hiding and getting smarter and stronger. Doctors big failures are discontinuing treatment when the person is in remission.
@lilcheezitz162 ай бұрын
Yes, I feel like when doctors tell a patient they’re in remission it’s a death sentence. Because the cancer comes back resistant to treatment, aggressive, and spreads faster than the patient ability tolerate chemotherapy.

Whats the point of a mastectomy, if it can return in the same area?
@thebunlife89952 ай бұрын
I watched a young KZbinr recently say that her family has BRCA gene and got a double masectomy. They believe that they will never get cancer after that. I often wonder if that is true or not and even if you get a masectomy, you can still get it.

@thebunlife89952 ай бұрын
I have to see an onocologist for the rest of my life because of abnormal levels which could indicate myeloma in many cases. For now it has been over a year and a half and I am still clear. It is a day to day challenge to think that next year I will yet again have to undergo testing and go a week thinking the what ifs.

Why are so many young getting #Cancer? Our parents taught us how to eat properly, exercise, work, sleep etc. to keep strong and healthy.Yet we breath dirty polluted air.? Also, a double mastectomy in 2014 and she has cancer again? People think a double mastectomy would fix the problem. If there is no breast, there is no breast cancer. And doctors know that, but they don't tell that part. They can cut everything but still, the cancer is still there.

Were you ever on oral contraception? This is the culprit in my opinion. It’s simply not natural for the human body. 🎀
@Itsmyopinionboo2 ай бұрын
I agree. I always thought that was the reason so many are catching breast cancer. Birth control pills stopping monthly periods never sat well with me. If it doesn’t come out as it should then where does it go.
@bellavita30972 ай бұрын
100%, and the women that are on birth control for 10 15,20 years when they do want to get pregnant, can’t get pregnant. My mom died at the age of 32 from breast cancer and that was the only correlation, ‘the pill’, myself her daughter, my aunt her sister, my grandmother, her mother never had breast cancer I was just tested for the genetic testing 11 different cancers and across-the-board. I’m negative so it’s not genetic. There’s a simple blood test everyone can take that test for these cancers. (Myriad) But it’s environmental. It’s the chemicals the perfumes the cleaning products the pesticides and herbicides that are on our lawn. We need to go back to all organic and get rid of oral contraception use condoms, or absence to prevent birth control.
