The second video in the "I'll Play You to Sleep" series! This one is all chilled out, relaxing harp lullaby versions of songs from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Some of these are completely new on the channel, and some are re-recordings of old, old covers.
It was really fun to come back to these, as some of these songs were really the root of my channel (Gerudo Valley is the first video I ever uploaded!), and others I've wanted to record for ages. Lost Woods and Gerudo Valley were especially fun because they're usually so upbeat, but making them much more soothing was a lot of fun for me because I really love this style of music :)
I hope you also enjoyed the kitty footage in this video! My two cats' names are Bilbo (black and white) and Nora (brown tabby). Nora especially is just too adorable when she's sleeping, ahahaha!!

It's been a few years since I've played all the way through any of the Zelda games, and lately whenever I've gone back to them, the experience feels kind of numb, almost as if the original magic is gone when playing them. Of course, playing them again will never feel like the first time, and I think that's okay in the long run, since change is a part of life, and that's part of its beauty. But something about these musical arrangements of the songs I've known for so long played on a harp seems not only to capture a semblance of that original magic, but it also reflects it with a certain maturity and age after the years have passed. It's as if Zelda's initial impact came and went, but in the end, the magic is still there.
