It's been a few years since I've played all the way through any of the Zelda games, and lately whenever I've gone back to them, the experience feels kind of numb, almost as if the original magic is gone when playing them. Of course, playing them again will never feel like the first time, and I think that's okay in the long run, since change is a part of life, and that's part of its beauty. But something about these musical arrangements of the songs I've known for so long played on a harp seems not only to capture a semblance of that original magic, but it also reflects it with a certain maturity and age after the years have passed. It's as if Zelda's initial impact came and went, but in the end, the magic is still there.
