I was told never to wash copper patina off with water, you just dry it off with papertowel then buff with finishing compound Before you start patina rub with steel wool triple 0 it helps with the copper being shinier when polished 😊😊

Mind blown! I was never taught about the polish before. No wonder I didn't like the way the copper patina looked when I used it. Thank you so much for demonstrating it. Can this also be used on other colours of patina (eg., black)?

Do you wax them to help them hold the colour and not oxidize over time?

Hi, great video! I have a project that I just finished and the copper patina looks splotchy. It is really brilliant copper in a few areas but dull and dark in others. After you polish it (which I did) can you go back and reapply patina? Also I noticed you did not steel wool at all? I did, could that be a problem? Thank you

Could be a problem with your water. There are other videos that address that

seems to be a water thing yes! if you have very hard mineral water it will cause this to happen. you can try again by scrubbing clean with steel wool & using distilled or RO water.
