I came from Saudi Arabia to Woodbridge to live and study English, I watched this video many times before I got here and when I arrived a lot of places I remembered through this video, Woodbridge is a quiet, safe and beautiful city and I am very happy that I chose this place, and thank you Smatha for this video The wonderful one who made me get to know the city before coming ❤️

I love how everyone commenting previously lived here. As a current resident, I am actually trying to move out as well. Samantha, please update this video to show how over populated and covered in hideous apartments we have become.

Yes, It looks nothing like this anymore...loaded with high rise Apt's.,traffic galore,roads torn up for over a year for construction of more apartments across from Wegman's ! I've lived here for almost 30 years and I'm looking forward to leaving Middlesex County. Rude,loud, inconsiderate people moving here from other cities. It has changed so rapidly in just 3 short years !

Funny, where I live, it's also called Woodbridge (Virginia) and 95 goes through it as well

Great video. I stayed in Woodbridge in 1999. Good old memories 😀. I used to travel to Edison everyday which was my workplace.

Nice video. Woodbridge was a great town to grow up in back in the 60s and 70s. I try to get back every so often. I've actually attended a "for sale open house" at my childhood home once. I have very fond memories of Woodbridge.
@SamanthaPearlman4 жыл бұрын
Very cool! Did the house look the same as you remembered it? Or totally different? I hear my childhood house might be going up for sale soon and I am soo curious to see the inside now.

It has changed...not for the better.Loud, noisy,cars, and trucks drive up and down our residential street 24/7.We sleep with our T.V. on to drown out the noise. I guess if your relocating from a big city... Woodbridge will sound and look the same for you. Most of the people commenting "Used to live here". Be glad you got out.

Samantha Pearlman, I left for college in the mid 70s but go back to visit every few years. Always nice to see the changes and the things that still remain.

I like Woodbridge but sold a house in 2018 and moved. The elementary school's rating that children were supposed to go to is 3/10 - not good. Otherwise it was a nice town for me but I am happy I moved before all these new "5 over 1" apartment buildings appeared. It will be too crowded.

Is woodbridge easy to navigate from the train, I hope to visit as I had a great aunt and uncle who lived there in the 1940s on green street and ran a business as well
@SamanthaPearlman3 жыл бұрын
Great question. Woodbridge has a NJ Transit train station right in the center of Downtown so depending on where you are going, you can walk to a lot of places from there. You can also take a train to the Menlo Park Station in Iselin, it's a little less of a walk-able area there but depending on where you are trying to go, sometimes grabbing a cab or Uber from there might be easier. Hope this helps!

The country music is horrible but decent video.. you should have went to Sewaren tho. Moved here 2 years ago and I love it here. Everything is close. I don’t want for anything. Lots of good improvements happening very fast too with bldg construction and new stores coming. Ppl keep complaining but it’s great for a community to be modernized. Who wants to live in a dilapidated town. They just added a share bike program to the 3 sections of Woodbridge and the bikes are free. Will be hard to actually get one I’m guessing but hopefully the program grows in time. The only downside of the town is the food is not very good in my opinion. Lacks flavor and is very bland in most places. No real ethnic flavor or heat to the food, even dishes that should be spicy

Thanks for watching. I'm not usually a Country Music person myself but was feeling it the day I put this together. My plan was to break down each section of Woodbridge for videos so I was going to do Sewaren later, unfortunately we moved before I could, sorry! It's is a great area of town. I am going to miss the big 4th of July show there this year! Enjoy!

Thank you! I grew up in Woodbridge, both sets of Grandparents lived there too as well as cousins. On this video you post my church (Old White Church) the site of the old city hall where my Grandfather had his office and WHS where my Father taught. I know it has changed a lot but will always be home to me.
