@mmc10863 жыл бұрын
@@lolsstar i appreciate your sentiment too but there’s no shame in stating that humans simply thrive better when they have the support of a loving partner. I feel qualified to say this as a 37 year old single mother. I have grafted hard every single day on self improvement techniques and finally feel happy for the first time in my life. But I would love help around the house, a sex life, affection, someone cheering me on and being there for moral support with all the inevitable shit that life throws. And this is not because I just need to love myself more. It’s a legitimate desire.
@lolsstar3 жыл бұрын
@@mmc1086 oh I didn't mean I think she's thriving because of her boyfriend at all. I just meant she was thriving generally. Anything about that is what makes her happy and her business. I agree with you, we are whole on our own. More power to you :)

@@mmc1086 this is true but I kinda feel like the other poster is diminishing Sam’s hard work. Like she wouldn’t be where she is if it wasn’t for Jerell and that’s lot of pressure on him and her! You are so passionate about a good cuppa coffee... and you would just be around and meet (coffee) people in a socially not so awkward setting, get to know coworkers ... AND you would have a schedule / structure for your working days (get ready, get out of the house and do something that is immediately rewarding like when you get a happy smile form someone, or a tip, ... )

I agree! Get a job! And not in an annoying "go work" way but speaking from experience. OOF the “i have more childhood trauma than i thought” hits hard. therapy for me has been really tough but really good recently. i’ve recovered memories of childhood abuse i had suppressed, and i’m learning how to cope without hurting myself or being unkind to my husband. thank you so much for always promoting therapy ❤️
@jasmineleopard75933 жыл бұрын
I’m not trying to be too personal but if you are open to sharing, I am curious how suppressed memories come up. When you say suppressed do you mean you really didn’t know it happened until it came out in therapy, or you knew but had put it really far in the back of your mind? Again, only if you are open to sharing. If not, I understand and apologize.
@liv444vil3 жыл бұрын
@@jasmineleopard7593 of course! my main memory was suppressed, as in i genuinely had no memory of it before it resurfaced. i had been discussing my childhood in therapy for a few months at that point, and i was coming to terms with the fact that my upbringing was neglectful and verbally abusive (it took me a long time to realize this - i thought my childhood was normal for a long time). so, i had been thinking in depth about my childhood for a while, and then while visiting my childhood home, i had a massive panic attack (crying, hyperventilating, and having what i describe as an emotional flashback). that night, i woke up from a dead sleep with the memory of this specific incident i had forgotten. i think being in therapy was a massive component of re-remembering, but i also dont have any idea how i could handle such a dramatic revelation without therapy afterwards. it’s unsettling, to say the least, when a suppressed memory comes back.
@jasmineleopard75933 жыл бұрын
@@liv444vil wow, thank you so much for sharing something to personal. I have always felt like I must have some childhood trauma based on certain behaviors I have as an adult but I’m kind of scared to find out. If there was anything bad, I have suppressed it because I can’t think of anything but there are behaviors I have that just seem like they must stem from childhood trauma. I have been thinking about therapy for a while but it’s so hard for me to be genuinely open with anyone. I really appreciate you sharing your experience and I’m glad you have a therapist to help you work through it. I hope you come to make peace and/or progress with your past ❤️

coming from someone that works at a boarding facility for animals cats seems to never ever acclimate to staying with us. most times they're pretty stressed and wont eat or use their litter box. i always recommend doing what you're doing and getting a sitter if it's a short time. only if it's going to be for a month or longer would i actually consider boarding a cat. and that cat would have to be very well trained with meeting lots of new people and going places. for dogs it's not as stressful unless they have been with their entire life you and aren't socialized with other humans/animals. a "people loving dog" typically does great. I applaud you doing what you thinks best for your babies!!!
