This is not sambal prawn, Sambal is cooked with a variety of spices, chilies, dried chillies, blended lemongrass, shallot, onions, garlic for example...and you need to toss it and add with coconut milk, tamarind water

Dear Malaysians, can we just all agree that they're trying to promotes our national dishes. They had to adjust the recipes which suits their Australian tastebuds and we can understand the limitations of the ingredients they had there unlike in Malaysia. Do u know how much will it cost for the dried chilies in Aussie? The belacan alone will cost about the same price of the prawns itself. Dont have to be such pain in the arse for the so called 'real nor right' recipes for the Sambal Udang. Is it so hard just be proud for them to cook our Malaysian meal in their country with their liking. Spread the love guys, not hate!!

It’s okk to be nice about it but when it’s wrong it’s wrong. If she just twist a little bit here and there it would be still fine. But No, She was totally turn around everything and named it Malaysian food. It doesn’t matters what is your excuses behind it, but once it is no longer qualified to be Malaysian food, then no matter what is the reason, it is still not a Malaysian food. Proud? That’s not even our food... Imagine if someone trying to cook rendang and not even using lemongrass because it is too expensive, then shout it out loud... hey this is how we cook Malaysian food.... dafuq

It looks delicious and I'm sure it's delicious because all the sweet, sour and hot taste is there, but I'm disappointed with the fact that this is not what Sambal Udang (Prawn Sambal) actually is. Even the white lady knows. LOL! Oh, well. It is still red in colour and got prawns in it. But thank you for giving us the chili crab sauce recipe! XD

Hey. That's why they called it Sambal Prawns. In Malay it is Udang Sambal bukan sambal udang. Learn basic English then learn how to make ENGLISH translation to Malay.

She named in Sambal prawn cos it looks like one. Definitely wrong recipes. We use dried chilli, red onions and garlic, for some may add belachan, all blended and fried, some may add tamarind, sugar and salt, thats it!!! No chili sauce, no tomato sauce. No fried challots.

Sambal means a dishes cook with chili paste. So you cant name it sambal if there is no chili paste.. This is right if you call it Sweet sour prawn..
