@@vittocrazi yeah, was about to say that. Judo is just 140 years or so and sambo is 100 years old which is as old as brazilian jujutsu. All three relatively modern compared to jujutsu, kungfu, karate, silat and stuff.

I used to train with some Russians, they were both black belt Judo players and top level Sambo players. They said in Russia sometimes they would do a Judo competition, then the next weekend they might do a Sambo competition. They saw it as the same thing just a different set of rules.

Sambo and Judo are both so similar it's not really fair to do vs videos on them. It's more the skill of the fighter.

Lol, I love doing throws more than takedowns, cus I feel with doing takedowns against a good wrestler or even Jiu Jitsu grappler, ur gana get sprawled on with ur back taken or guillotine choked. I get that alot of people say that Wrestling is more effective, but I think that's only said because it's easier to learn, the only thing is that when you do a throw, it's pretty common for the opponent to get top game. But then that's why u practice ur bottom game right? Hey u still got those 3 points, who knows, those 3 points for a throw on both feet may just win u the match in the event of a stalemate. I practice Sambo and BJJ, all I gotta say is that throws are awsome n it feels so good when u get an extremely good throw!!! The kinda throws that knock the wind out of ur opponent.

As. Catch Wrestler/Judoka. I believe that Shooting and a good single leg are both very important to have as a grappler. You make get sprawled on but it also gets you into range for the clinch.
