This is excellent. I am currently preparing my first portfolio for graduate programs in Industrial Design (transitioning from project manager to designer) any caveats you'd add in a portfolio for academic consideration versus employment or do the mentioned best practices hold in both environments? When you say that you don't read any texts (and I fully understand why, because you don't have time and so on), is it then really necessary to have any? And if yes, can you show us maybe in the next ep. an example of how it could look with layout, size and amount? Thank you!

Great question! A small amount of text may be useful for when we’ve narrowed it down and selected 2-3 portfolios. But by that point, we would ask the designers in for an interview to speak face to face instead of reading. I’ve got videos where I show a mid-weight designers portfolio (episode 1?), and I critique my own portfolio too!

Last project MF logo doesn't work. It reads like NF or IVF. I'd adjust the F so that it's either completely separated from the M (to create consistency) or pull it all the way up.
