“The kid needs a dad!” As kids we thought it was so cool that our friends had two mums or two dads and we all got jealous 😂 As long as the couple can provide for their children and give them a warm, loving, and happy life, why should it matter if they’re gay or not? I grew up without a father figure, as well as my brothers who’s fathers also walked out on them. Mami was always criticised for being a single mother and looking after us. But in the end, she raised us more than our dead beat fathers ever could
@Nathangoldstein24 жыл бұрын
Ideally there should be both gender parents. It is important for a child to have a same sex parent to model their behavior after and an opposite sex parent to learn what to expect from future partners. Children of single mothers are exponentially more likely to make low incomes, wind up in prison, have abusive relationships and overall it is a statistical nightmare. Fathers are necessary as well as mothers. Anyone with a basic understanding of child psychology can tell you this.
@azmaliestylx54684 жыл бұрын
Nate we don’t need a father to show us how to avoid abusive relationships bc our fathers were abusive 💀
@Nathangoldstein24 жыл бұрын
@@azmaliestylx5468 That is unfortunate and I am sorry you experienced that. When you have a father who is not abusive and who treats your mother well, that is when the example is effective. Luckily, most fathers are not abusive. I hope you are able to find a good partner. It will be more difficult without a well adjusted father but it is possible to end that cycle. I notice you said "fathers" which leads me to determine that your mother made some mistakes as well. She got impregnated by multiple different deadbeats leaving all of you without fathers. I give her credit for sticking around and doing what she had to do, but she did create the situation. Don't sleep with irresponsible men without protection and you won't bring children into this world without a good father. It did not have to be that way. She could have chosen a better man (and only one) to father her children.

@@azmaliestylx5468 Well at least you are not in denial. I hope you succeed without a father, I really do. You did deserve to have a good father in your life though. Fathers do play an important role in a child's development and you should have had that. My only disagreement with you is that fathers and mothers are both important. If it's at all possible, a child should have both in their life.

Uhhhh...I personally dont believe in lesbianism I think its caused by psychological trauma with the opposite sex rather than being genetic cause every lesbian I’ve ever met had been abused by a man in some way, I think its a coping mechimism of finding love in a way that seperates them from the other gender. Gay men I believe have an actual genetic condition and thats fine but I dont think lesbians are legit tbh

I love the arguments people make against two women raising a child as a couple. "Who will teach him to be a man? To play ball? To shave?" I played softball and then baseball for years. Pretty sure I shave more sensitive areas than my face on a near daily basis. I know how to tie a tie. I played soccer, and football, I did weight lifting, yoga, self defense, adventure sports, swimming, dance, girl scouts, all of that stuff. I know about cars and I know about make up and fashion, too. Not only would my son be the best dressed, most athletic, manly guy he could be, but he would also have a damn heart and soul toward other people of any background. It doesn't take a penis to be able to teach someone the things society views as "masculine", and it certainly doesn't take having a penis to teach self respect, respect for others, morals, decency, and humanitarianism. CLEARLY the clerk doesn't have any of those valued personality traits(as the character), be they male or female traits, and I bet he had a mother and father, rendering any argument he makes completely invalid. Obviously having that didn't help him. Despite religious or personal beliefs, there is never an excuse to be a rude, inconsiderate jackhole to people. Period.

“A long-term study of children raised by lesbians found that these children were less likely to suffer from physical and sexual abuse than were their peers who were raised by heterosexuals. This is thought to be due to the absence of adult heterosexual men in the households (Gartrell, Bos, & Goldberg, 2010). Girls raised by lesbians tend to have higher self-esteem, show more maturity and tolerance than their peers, and are older when they have their first heterosexual contact (Gartrell et al., 2005, 2010). Children raised by same-sex parents seem to be less constrained by traditional gender roles; boys are less aggressive, and girls are more inclined to consider nontraditional careers, such as doctor, lawyer, or engineer (Gartrell et al., 2005; Stacey & Biblarz, 2001). Over the course of more than 20 years, scientists studied the psychological adjustment of 78 teenagers who were raised by lesbian mothers. Compared to age-matched counterparts raised by heterosexual parents, these adolescents were rated higher in social, academic, and total competence, and lower in social problems, rule-breaking, aggression, and externalizing problem behavior (Gartrell & Bos, 2010). There are fewer studies of children raised by two men, but gay fathers are more likely than straight fathers to put their children before their career, to make big changes in their lives to accommodate a child, and to strengthen bonds with their extended families after becoming fathers (Bergman, Rubio, Green, & Padrone, 2010).” ~ Martha Rosenthal, Human Sexuality: From Cells to Society, p.247.
