Well on the German Amazon it cost 51€ and it is good that they are almost every Screwdriver ,because the 10th doctor Sonic screwdriver for example cost 31€ so it is a good price for all the Screwdrivers greetings from Germany

I don’t know why character options got rid of the single button 11th/12th doctor sonic. It was the best out of all of the 11th/12th doctor sonic iterations, being that you could activate it while extended using the same button as you would when it was closed. It doesn’t have a huge battery compartment cutout and panel thingy like the touch one does either, and it doesn’t require you to use a separate button on the bottom to activate it when extended like The original, as seen in this video. The single button does everything right imo, but character has stupidly discontinued it. I have no faith for what they put out, it’s all just crap most of the time.

A nice set. Got one myself. Regarding the black helix on the 10th Doctor's sonic, you can just pretend it's the colony cream Aztec used by the 9th Doctor early in series 1, as that prop had a beige handle and black helix, like this one. My only problem is the red collar on the 3rd Doctor's sonic. It's a pity they didn't use the touch control 11th Doctor's sonic, but I'm not bothered about that too much.

This set would have been great if they had: 1. Put the 12th Doctor single button in there instead of the original release. 2. Put the yellow helix on the 10th Doctor's sonic and given it the 11th Doctor's sound chip.

The only let down for me is The 10th doctor's screwdriver. Why is it a "yellow" tint instead of grey!? Really ruins the whole sonic for me, the only reason I would want this weird "yellow" abomination is for the new slider

All the other sliders are flimsy and pop off easily. Both my 9/10th doctor sonic screwdrivers (which I take care of with extra precaution) sliders popped off within the first couple days of having it. 😭

I don't think it will be unfortunately, because Character Options no longer have the license to sell Doctor Who merchandise in the US, it's Seven20 that have the US licence now. But you could try eBay, i've seen a few on there at relatively cheap prices. ;)

All of them come with batteries included! They take LR44 batteries, the classics ones take 2 each and the 10th & 11th take 3 each. :)

Lewis There’s a small screw on the slider disguised as a button. Just unscrew the screw and then the slider will pop off, you can slide the top section off revealing the battery compartment 😁

@@SameSonicDifferentCase really glad they changed 10's sonic because the last two I've owned the slider was really weak and flimsy. Broke within first couple days of ownership. ...but I'm not a fan of the colors. Why did they make 10's sonic "yellow"?

Well it's a bit of a complicated answer i guess, haha but basically... around 2009 Millennium FX (MFX), which was the company that worked on the prosthetics and monster costumes for the show, released their own replica of Tenth Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver. But the MFX replica wasn't exactly screen accurate, most of the dimensions were slightly off and they were painted with Heritage Gold crackle paint which again was not accurate to the Sonic Screwdriver seen on show, this made the MFX replica appear more yellow rather than the colony cream and grey colours we actually see on the show. So fast forward to 2013 when David Tennant returned for the 50th, he was in need of a Sonic Screwdriver and since MFX worked on the show he was handed an MFX Sonic Screwdriver replica! So after that all the MFX replicas became screen accurate and the Heritage Gold colour also became accurate to only that episode. So Character Options releasing a yellow variant is their way of doing a Day of the Doctor Sonic Screwdriver :)

man, when will these be right for once I know that character options don't have the budget for actual changes besides tweaks to molds and micro sound chips but really , guys , a lot of people seem to be mad when I say this but the fans wanted these to be like the props I know they are toys and I've modified my ones back in 2013 why could they just leave the classic sounds with the classic sonic screwdrivers from each doctor not from the new series besides the new sonics from the new series , and they change the sound activation for 4th doctors sonic instead of the hidden you get all 4 , that sound chip is being re used with other sonics in the past but in reversed screwdrivers , this seems rushed , here's why , the un-painted inside the collar of the 3rd doctors sonic to the back of the box with the 10th / 9th sonic has a BUTTON ON THE SLIDER with A YELLOW WIRE that's not on the toy you get , maybe rushed and false advertisement , out of all matt smith sonics they just had to bring the first version instead of a one they did that has been improved already , why cant they bring back the master's sonic' sonic pen' or even ones we didn't get like the 6ths sonic lance, or others sonics that they made based on the broadcasts , I don't hate character option , this is just ridicules I know I could make my own modified sonic screwdrivers but Im making a statement , if these get re-released make them new don't go backwards , and this has not been like this for 1 year or 2 , its been like 7 years or less or more , the fact is , how many more years since of now, in 2039 it will be the same unless they did it in 2029, it depends on character options them self's , now again I don't hate the company its just so many other toy company's are not like this they improve things with the product . figures are changing not the sonic screwdrivers .
