I fully agree with this... I sold my 10th doctor universal remote just so I could go to the Chicago TARDIS back in 2021 (or 2022)! And ever since then, I've missed that thing so much... "You never know what you got, till' it's gone."

A couple days ago I bit the bullet on a TWC 10th sonic, already got a replacement battery I'll put in once it arrives, and I've ordered a metal body off a guy on Etsy. So excited for when it all arrives. Got a good deal on the sonic itself and with a little extra money I unexpectedly had I decided a metal body was easier to justify. I mean for something that once put together will be a near perfect metal replica that also has the remote functions PLUS all those beautiful 12 sounds in FX mode. It's a deal O couldn't refuse. I'd happily keep replacing the battery as long as compatible batteries continue to be available. And when the various batteries stop being made or the electronics die I'd be perfectly content with fitting a CO sound chip and a different changeable battery compartment. I've already made peace with the fact that this sonic is doomed to die if the size and voltage of battery ceases to exist

@@toval76 You can buy the replacement batteries online for pretty cheap but it can be a bit fiddly installing them. 😁

Once i get the TWC tenth sonic, i`m going to see if i can modify the LED`s to be either white or yellow, and have the main handle be wood. Also the bulb on top would be frosted clear.

Is there any way to replace the yellow wires with red and black ones without ruining the electronics?

@@Polar-GuardThe yellow wire is actually a sleeve containing three separate wires: one red, one white, and one black. You could carefully cut the yellow sleeve then remove it or cut the wires to remove the sleeve, wrap the red and black wires around the white wire then re-solder the wires back to the board 👍

@@veryprogamer5108 It's wild to think they were only £70 brand new from The Wand Company when they first came out! They can definitely be pricey these days, but every so often, you can still find one at a reasonable price. They do tend to get snapped up quickly, so it's worth checking eBay regularly if you're on the hunt. 😎
