Thank you so much for the review. It is very informative and interesting. And the replica itself is really probably the ideal middle ground for those who run around with their screwdriver every day (but not every replica for shelf can withstand it), but who want something more than a plastic toy (although they are often very good). And apparently the fans of 12th recived it. Great. So I'm probably going to dream that someday something similar will be done for the 13th’ doctor’s screwdriver.

Fingers crossed that Nawya does make a screen accurate version of Thirteen’s Sonic, complete with spinning emitter! If we can finally get a premium version of Twelve’s V2 Sonic, who knows what else we might get in the future!

OMG! While I'm not a fan of the general design of the Thirteenth Doctor's sonic, a metal one would be AMAZING! I got the CO second release with the frosted plastic, and they did a great job on the toy, so one can only imagine how this company would build on that base!

@@Animato808 The 12th has a really cool design. Although I got used to it for a very long time before I fell in love with it. Now I still have the first C.O. replica, and my friend has a recently released chrome one. And that's why I'm sincerely happy for you (and a little jealous). The current release is something:) As for the 13th, I adore her. I have the same version 2 from S.O. And after 5 years that I went with it every day, I even modified it and now it is silver-gold with a frosty blue ultraviolet crystal. However, now I just want to keep the memory of this period and now it's a shelf sample. As a result, I'm wildly waiting for the re-release. Ideally, in a case from C.O. and a quiet glow mode of the case, but with a rotating crystal. In the meantime, I'm using a screwdriver on the 14th. By the way, the 13th has just the perfect board and insides for modifications, even if you just use them in a separately printed case.

I completely agree this replica is a perfect middle ground for fans who want something more durable and premium without going all-in on a full on replica. As for the 13th Doctor’s Sonic, I’d love to see a more premium version too. I know NAWYA is already working on their next project, and while it’s not the 13th’s Sonic just yet, it’s something just as exciting. From what I’ve heard, the 13th Doctor’s Sonic is definitely on the cards for the future, so fingers crossed we’ll get to see it someday! 😊

@@Animato808 I thought about this too. I wonder if it's possible to just remove/replace the transparent sections and swap them out freely. In theory frosting it should make the light disperse a bit more evenly but once you've done it, there's no going back.

Frosting the clear plastic could really make the lights pop and give it a unique look. Swapping them with the ones from the toy could be a great option! It might give you the frosted look without having to commit to modifying the original parts. Definitely worth considering if you want to experiment a bit! I'm just waiting for a sonic prop that incorporates a pressure plate or two on the handle to discreetly control pitch and volume. Once a company makes one like that, I don't think I'd be able to stop myself from going into deep, deep debt for it.

Absolutely, the fixed chase setting is such a great improvement! The electronics on this one are definitely top-tier, probably the best we’ve seen so far. Transplanting them into a Rubbertoe would be incredible! If only there were an easy way to make that happen! 😄🔧

Hey mate, thanks for the watching! The Destiny of the Daleks collection video has been at the top of the list for a while, but with the recent surge in Sonic Screwdriver releases, they’ve taken priority. The script is done, and most of the Daleks are ready, I’m just waiting on a few neck extension parts from the latest History of the Daleks Revelation set. Once I get those and complete the modifications, they’ll be 100% done, and I can move on to filming the video. I do have a few Sonic Screwdrivers from LSP expected soon, so I can’t give an exact timeline, but you will see the Destiny of the Daleks video some time within the next few months. 😎

A Ninth and Tenth Doctor’s Sonic would be amazing, I think a lot of fans would love that! From what I’ve heard, NAWYA’s next project is already in the works, so it’s not the 9th/10th just yet. But who knows? Maybe they’ll tackle it in the future. Fingers crossed! 😉

I wonder if NAWYA will fix a couple of the complaints on this sonic, i.e., the 4 acrylic rods being just a tad too long, and the brass parts being the wrong color. Other than that this prop is quite nice. Honesty if the chrome edition had a pulsating green light instead of the flashing green light id get the chrome edition.

Great points! Fixing the acrylic rods, the brass color, and removing those lines on the brass sections would really take this Sonic to the next level. From what I’ve heard, though, NAWYA has moved on to their next project and won’t be revisiting this one. I don’t think it was intentional, probably a factory oversight. Similar to the lines all over them, which seem more like a production issue than a design choice aha. It doesn’t take away too much from the overall look, but it would definitely look so much better if the lines were smoothed out and the gold shade was more accurate! 😅

3D print lines aren't that clean. Those lines on the brass is just extra details. Its very rare that mass produced products would have any raw 3D printing in it
