My own personal issues with the 12th one all stem from it being the CO design (the switch wobbles a LOT and is hard to control since the spring was removed in favour of accuracy, and the top emitter section is a bit too thin)

@@jack_grylls I heard the initial ones had an issue with the blue paint where it was getting peeled off with the plastic wrap it comes in, but they seem to have fixed that.

Decided to order one off Ebay, checked with Nawya to make sure it's legit. Just gotta wait for it to ship from China... who knows how long that could take lol. Since I'm in the US I hope it won't take as long as getting to the UK, but we'll see.

This is incredibly beautiful. To be honest, the replica of the 12th Doctor's sonic screwdriver was already amazing. But there it was still exactly the "ideal version of the toy" with metal in the right places. And here Nawya seemed to have surpassed everything possible. I would like to repeat the idea that this is the ideal version for those who want to directly play the role and actively cosplay with their sonic. But it is also a good mechanism. As Matt Smith once said, his screwdriver is like a folding Swiss knife. And this is felt both in the video and in the photo. It's actually very hard to resist the temptation to buy it. For once something of such quality is relatively affordable. And these feelings are very similar to when I was a child and only thought about buying my first screwdriver with my own money. And then I chose the 11th screwdriver, because at that time the quality of the toy seemed incomparable, although I loved the 9th Doctor more. And now too - incomparable quality. But maybe I'll still wait in hopes of releasing their version of the 13th Doctor’s sonic replica. Or, maybe not)) And thank you for such a detailed review and beautiful photos on Instagram.

i love this, but i do really wish it was a white handle instead of yellow. some of their instagram photos show a white handle which is odd considering all the reviews and product photos show the yellow handle

Recommend not flicking it as it damages in inner copper that holds it open, end cap becomes loose like the toy after a little while and the screw bulbs get damaged if you constantly change it so stick to one (green for accuracy) or even superglue it on.

I just got mine. I see in the instructions that it says not to twist the middle, is that so you don't end up twisting the wiring?

Quite certain of it yeah, some have said that twisting that area can cause the electronics to bug out. Can usually be fixed with some fiddling.

@@brodiemartin0307 I ended up stripping the green bulb, now it won't stay on tight. So, I put a small piece of tape around the screw, then screwed the green bulb onto it, it's not perfect, but it's on tighter.

I remember when I had the original toy I put a wad of duct tape inside the end cap that would hold it closed. And it was a big enough wad to where you could just press the end cap into your palm and it would activate the sound while being extended and held normally.

I'm so damn tempted by this sonic. I have no idea how I'll get a hold of it but I'm gonna try in February when I next get paid because my unspent holiday will basically cover this sonic (I didn't really have a life last year lol). Hopefully I can still get this 🤞🤞🤞🤞 Would go fantastic alongside my modified TWC 10th, with a metal body and white crackle paintjob. I ran out of gray crackle but fell in love with my temp white job. Some gorgeous cracks, so I'm keeping it white, honestly looks more like the CT ultimate edition one 😂 I promised myself that the 10th was my one and only metal sonic I needed, but an 11th for this price is too good to pass up EDIT I caved and just bought it yesterday. Paid using Klarna and will just pay off the last 2 ones in one go. Just couldn't resist for long. It's a fantastic deal and I absolutely LOVE Matt's sonic, so it needed to be done. It's being dispatched tomorrow, sooooo looking forward to it

Yep, just the tip lights up! The LED is positioned to illuminate the tip the most, staying true to the screen-accurate props. Both Rubbertoe versions and the CT version follow the same approach. Thanks for watching 😀

No, Nawya only started making sonics around the summer of 2024. They primarily use their Instagram page to communicate, so it's worth giving them a follow.
