I think BoTW did an interesting take on the Zelda franchise as it relied less on action/puzzle solving and high paced music to a more somber and immersive experience. This highlights how impressive the music can be and how although light, still carries an intense tune like something out of a Ghibli film. Good shit dude!

I agree! What really sells the Ghibli vibes are the cartoonish characters in a realistic environment. Also , I believe that Nintendo chose the soft music scores so it wouldn’t distract the player from the sounds of nature in the game.

You know what’s nuts - when he runs out of notes on the fretboard, he uses harmonics seamlessly, almost like there were those extra high frets on the guitar. This guy is something else. This version is good enough to be in the game!

JakeZleeper as of late i would have said that botw was my favourite, but now that I've realized it has poor replayability if you've 100% beat it the first time, I'm going back to wind waker being my favourite. The atmosphere is damn near perfect in that game, especially since the music is much more prominent.
