It doesn't. It's still the same American singer with colored hair that shouts over a piano with a lot of reverb repeating 3 chords. It's over-sentimentalist and exaggerating, it's a ridiculous attempt at expressing feelings they don't have by twisting themselves and screaming like that's how you actually express the depth of pain. This song is the exact copy of all those "sad songs" that American industry has promoted for the last 2 decades, and it's terrifying how the mass keeps enjoying it.

What’s really sad is that some people are saying that she’s just doing her documentary for attention which is dumb. People need to wake up and realize that it was hard for Demi to go threw that shit and obviously they don’t realize that
@gemmacook17533 жыл бұрын
See I dont understand why people say attention is a bad thing, she deserves attention (positive) and her fight with her mental health and addictions also should have attention, to show others that you can get to the other side, that hope isn't all lost and to not give up, so even if what people say is true - that all she wanted was attention which we know its far more than that- it isnt a bad thing, not at all. Too many people get lost through the cracks, people see addiction and mental health as a "they" problem and think it won't ever happen to them until it does and they realise what a heartbreakingly lonely place it is. We are making steps towards the right direction, but it sadly isn't fast enough. Even demi documentary helps even one person, then it can have all the damn attention.

Who is saying she’s doing this for attention?! What she went through is life changing, many singers, rappers, and other celebrities have died due to an overdose. she’s lucky to be alive and she wants to show the world what she’s over come. I’m so proud of her, she’s a role model; no one is perfect and that is the reality. She’s truly amazing, and I’m so happy she can be here to tell her extort and to encourage others to do better for themselves.
@gabbythomas67423 жыл бұрын
@@brandonweston5379 No I was going to Facebook and I seen like her trailer and there was lots of people saying that she’s just doing it for attention and all that crap. @j07_l663 жыл бұрын
I don’t believe she is trying to get attention. But if you see it this way, she’s trying to get attention to make everyone aware of all struggles people go through (including famous people) and how there is a way to get through it. And everyone is worth living and trying to work through hard times.

Sam Fischer wrote this song. He and Demi sing it. Sam is a true Australian talent.
@diamondborealis4543 жыл бұрын
Mainly because most of the media has been talking about Demi recently? No one is diminishing Sam’s performance or contribution, it’s just that Demi has been the center of attention lately and I’m sure the release of this song and it’s timing were intentional to focalize on Demi. It’s not that Sam doesn’t matter, but that when somebody is going through a rough patch it’s common to rally around that person, and in this case it’s Demi. Sam does deserve praise too though.

Dude this song is real. I don't have a good relationship with my mother. She has a lot of unresolved childhood trauma issues that she unfairly takes out on me. For a while, because I grew up in the Church, I thought I should just forgive her and let her back into my life. But she inevitably kept hurting me. So I have now stopped talking to her. I also grew up Catholic and that used to be a big part of my identity for a long time. But since the pandemic started, I have become very disillusioned with institutionalized faith and have really grown apart from the Church. The Church often teaches that suffering makes you more holy, and I believe that is seriously misguided. Growing up and self improvement is tough. It requires a lot of relearning, and that process can be painful. It's like, I want to better care for myself, but I just don't know how. Listening to songs like this bring me comfort though.
@HuaweiSmartP4 жыл бұрын
Idk if suffering makes you holy but this life is a constant trial so its belongs to life that we will endure hardships. Those who can still keep faith are the most patient and strong willed, I'd say. If you care too much of what other people say, this faith and will get weaker and weaker.

I relate to your situation but i talk qith my mum and I'm currently living not sure with what direction hoping all will be well especially with my Christianity but this songs just bring hope to me only thing is im becoming more inclined to secular
@hannalowercase59284 жыл бұрын
i love this. institutionalized religion has a lot of flaws, so it's better to just focus on your own growth imo and improving the world around you.
@TheBoss-mo4nu4 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to hear of that. And I get that with how everything is in the world and also the hardships that you go through in the world around you, I would imagine that it's likely that you would become disillusioned with your faith and that it would start to wane. But if you still feel even in a little bit of faith in your heart to do with God, then don't let that go, faith is what allows for us to move forward, and it gives us hope. And I know that religion can be hard to keep up with sometimes, but I think that's where so many people go wrong, including myself. I think the problem with most people (whether in Christianity, Hinduism, Islam etc) is that they spend so much time focusing on and building a relationship with *Religion*, (like going to their religious place of worship for example, or reading the Holy Bible or the Holy Qur'an etc), that people tend to forget to build a relationship with *God*. Just think about that bit there, don't just focus on building a relationship with Religion, for me, I think building a relationship with God is just as and even more important than the religious aspects. What I mean by building a relationship with God is that, talking to God, loving God, getting to know God, being grateful to God for those beautiful moments and really being mindful of the things you've been blessed with, turing to and talking to God when your so angry and you just need to cool down. If you feel like you've lost your identity with being a Catholic, why not try build a new one simply as a person who is the creation of God rather than a person of religion. My bad if I'm going on, but I hope you know what I mean, but whatever you choose, hope it'll work out for the better for you, and take care friend, and to all ❤

I agree with you, I shared a similar path as yours about church. There are really big issue around it, obviously church spreads great values, but there are also very misleading and contradictory (church poor or rich? what's the limit between humbleness and sacrifice ourselves too much?) ones. Also, we talk, as a society, about issues such as feminism, LGBTQ+, maschilism eccetera and I can't process the fact that the institutional church is still too conservative. There's a huge gap between church and society, in society there is still a lot to do about these issues, but at least it's known that some attitudes are banned and not accepted anymore (even tho the mentality still needs to change massively). While in the istitutional church the maschilism is everywhere, only men are the direct mediators of the divine, and women can only be nuns and don't have the same rights as priests. In my church, during the pandemic, men do activities such as creating materials for Christmas and festivities...women clean and do the sanitation..It's always been like this and still is. It's freaking discriminatory but many people, in the church context, don't see it (while maybe outside of it they sense it more). The point is that important issues are overlooked in the ecclesiastical context and I just can't stand it anymore. And I'm at the point that I don't care if church as always been conservative so it's harder for it to change (also because it's built on different values than of my generation for example). And it's actually changing a lot. I know it but it isn't enough for me. I just don't feel represented by it anymore. I wrote a lot ahah

@Kara and yet 'monsters' got nothing. She just needs hits. I know people say artists needs to write from their hearts, but is it too much to ask her management to find her a bangger? I just wish that's all...

@@sycedits1613 Agreed. Demi is my favorite singer, and she just needs that one song to draw attention back to her. Something very boppy that'll blow up on tiktok or something. Her album is coming out soon so let's just hope that does well because she really deserve this. 🙏🏾❤️
