🤘🏻💀🤘🏻 excellent interview! I'm an old RB fan and many yrs ago participated in the old Hellride website/store where RB - among several other COTD bands - held their fan forums. Miss those days. Spiritus Mortis and The Puritan are two other Finnish bands Sami was in that are well worth checking out for those who may be unfamiliar. He's also doing vocal for a new band, _Friends of Hell,_ due out in March on Rise Above Records! All hail the good Reverend...

Thank you very much for bringing the legendary Albert Witchfinder! What a charismatic personality he is. I'm a huge fan of Reverend Bizarre and Opium Warlords. RB is an obvious cult, but the recent experimental works are also very interesting. P.S. A great gothic view on the background.

wow I didn't know that it was mandatory to get religious education at school in Finland. Is it only Christianity? That's crazy, can see why Finns would hate Christianity, especially given it's history there, too.

Exactly. That's something that people don't get. When I went to elementary school, "uskonto" (religion) was one of the classes like Finnish language, mathematics, etc. So yes, that's one of the reasons why christianity above all other religions are getting the hate over here.

it's only mandatory if the child is a member of some official religious sect. my parents didn't belong to church and thus i never had religion in school and took life stance education ( = elämänkatsomustieto = ET) classes instead of it. some kind of general ethical/philosophical babbling at the level suitable for kids. one time when other kids went to church for some christmas or somesuch bullshit, we ET brats stayed in school and watched monty python's life of brian with our ET teacher.

Yeah. That's how it goes. It's just that there are a lot of ppl being officially Christian (ie. Pay taxes to the church yet are non-believers / non-religious people) and as such many get that religion taught at school even if the parents don't give a damn about God:/church.

Religion is a mandatory class here in Romania as well until the 10th grade I believe, and it's Orthodox Christianity which is the worst. Unfortunately here, most people don't hate religion like in Finland lol
