He should have won it against Roman at EC then Roman and Bloodline "injure" him to take the belt off. It would have been a good way to reward Sami for the work he put it and then Roman could win the title back and say, I am running it back another 1000 days or whatever it was and Roman could of had motive to beat his own record. Sami could have won the title and Cody could win it the way he did So basically Sami wins the title, then he gets injured Raw after PLE and then Roman wins the tournament for the vacated title, or WWE management could just give it to him(for heat) but then when Roman wins at WM 39 you are going oh crap, he really is going to beat his own record. And then when The Rock came back you would be thinking OH CRAP Cody doesn't even get to fight him now because they want Roman to beat his own record and it would of made this story even bigger. That would have been cool. Then if you wanted to Sami could go heel and face Cody but why do that when you have 2 big baby faces.

It was NOT only because of Sami. He did revitalize the story at one point, but the true heart of that story atleast in part 1 was Jey. Sami joining the bloodline was a huge part of Jeys character development.

He was supposed to have a eugene like role in the bloodline, but he obviously bypassed that and made his role so much bigger and legendary, especially when hhh took over. Under vince his probability of becoming world champion was next to zero. He was gonna be stuck in the mid card forever. Now he's one of the top guys. He'll never be "The guy". But now you definitely can't think of a wrestlemania without sami zayn or a big PLE event. He's gonna get his flowers one day it's just hhh likes to do long title reigns but hopefully his day comes sooner than later.

Sami Zayn is a Triple H guy. He was fond of him when he was in NXT and even in the HOF, Sami was seated behind Triple H. Triple H also believed in Sami enough to have him be the one to beat a guy like Gunther who was this invincible monster heel IC champion. So I do believe Hunter will do right by Sami and have him win the WHC title at least once and give him a decent and respectable reign

I like Sami and I always have since nxt, one thing that I feel holds him back is that he doesn’t put enough effort into his body aesthetically. He’s tall and has great promos and great in ring ability. I know he’s had bad shoulder injuries and I’m sure that might be part of the reason why but if he just put a little more emphasis (not saying he doesn’t try) to add more stock to his presentation I think he could be a world champion.

I’m not hating on Sami Zayn but I don’t think that people’s perception of him equals “ champion material “ and I like to think that’s something in regards to the character , I just think the undisputed title or “ in a way “ the heavyweight championship dosent need certain people holding it. That was the problem with Vince is that he would give them the title and there’s a whole lot lacking beneath the surface outside of “ they ain’t booking them correctly “ so I’m not giving Sami hate but I ain’t interested in seeing him being champ rn until otherwise.

I could see him winning the World Heavyweight or the WWE title if he wins Money in the Bank one of these years. If he loses the IC title at KQTOR it's possible he's in the MITB match in July and there's a chance he could win, but I feel like Gunther and Jey Uso have a better case, Solo Sikoa has a better case, they could provide better storylines in the next few months. I feel like Sami is a 4th or 5th pick and a good guy holding on to the briefcase for too long doesn't feel right.

He didn’t win at EC and it felt he would never win it post that. He was mega gigantic over at that time. It’s pretty evident they don’t want him as a world champion. The dude had one of the best build storylines with the Bloodline last year. After Sami and Kevin won the tag belts at WM, Triple H made them complete afterthoughts and killed their momentum. Now Sami is in a Diet Coke version of this but with the IC title belt and it feels like rinse and repeat. I don't think he can become world champion when there are better candidates (Jey Uso, Drew McIntyre).

It's more of an HHH problem, the World Title scene is dead basically bcs the rivalry was Jey vs Damian, now the only thing that will save the title is Drew and Punk. It's like HHH has a lack of experience in knowing how to book good TV constantly. He could've pulled the trigger with Sami last year, for instance.

WWE seems to be going back to protecting the title and creating meaningful title reigns. This means Sami will never be champion since he could never be more than a 1 month champion because he lacks too many things. During Vince's era it was possible to get the title and then lose it the next week. Titles were heavily devalued. And because of that smaller guys had a shot at them but not for good reasons.
