Tally Hall is known for wearing colored ties (Joe Hawley is red, Andrew Horowitz is green etc.) the colors they wear are red, green, blue, yellow, and grey. The creator of this show thus made Michael have those colors, just as another reference to the band. As for where you start, episode 1a is the start. The playlist on the creators channel has one other video before it but idk what that one is

The writing and animation is amazing! This is definitely one of the most unique object shows I've ever seen, I absolutely love this shows concepts. I'm so happy to see episode 2. I can't wait to see more! :) While I'd like to see the episodes come out a bit earlier, take as much time as you need and take care of yourself! Sending this show some love.
